Highlights:

- The room was dated, with decor still from the 80s. (We never even touched the 30"-screen tv.)
- The bathroom fan was loud, so we never wanted to turn it on.
- The pool was so cold that the kids left almost right away--coldest hotel pool they'd ever felt!
- The "complimentary breakfast" consisted simply of scrambled eggs (the industrial cakey kind); sausages; potatoes; cold cereal, yogourt; juice from the machine; and soft white and whole wheat bread (no pancakes, French toast, bagels, waffles, omelettes, bacon, or ham, like we've had at much nicer hotels).
- To add insult to injury, for this simple, meager breakfast, the breakfast vouchers and signs at the tables all screamed out in caps: "GRATUITY NOT INCLUDED". I appreciate that tips would be nice, but it felt like this was being shoved down our throat, for a mediocre breakfast and service. And the room wasn't on the cheap side either!
- Guests were loud in the hallways, even after 11 p.m., and no staff to prevent it.
- Fitness room looked like it only had 2 machines. We weren't sure, because it was locked, with no room card access and no instructions on how to get the key. (I guess you had to go to the front counter to plead for the key.)
- Finally, this was the oddest thing we'd ever experienced: On Sunday morning, there was a church service in the pool area, so the sign said "Service in progress from 9:00 to 12:00. Do not disturb." For those of us who had stayed over from Saturday to Sunday and thought that either we'd give the cold pool a second chance, or at least try the whirlpool or sauna, we were not allowed to access this area.

All in all, four thumbs down!

This is a hotel/motel property. We were given one of the motel rooms and it was a pleasant surprise. Nicely updated, clean and lots of space. I liked having the mini-fridge and that the sink was outside of the bathroom making morning routines more efficient. One thing I didn't like was that the room was very damp smelling.

The big bonus is the morning breakfast that is included in your stay. Buffet style, but with real dishes and table service for drinks. Very nicely done and great food.

This property is not within easy walking distance to downtown, but is super close to shopping and many restaurants. I would stay here again.

Thank you for the comment on your complimentary breakfast I am so glad you enjoyed it. We are looking at options to solve the damp smell in a couple of the outside units. We hope to see you again.

What a great little hotel. We arrived in Stratford and were actually checked into our room right away. The room was nicely renovated and neat as a pin. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was fresh, hot and tasty. Despite being absolutely packed with school trips and another large group, the excellent serving staff were friendly and our coffee cups were always full. The tables were promptly cleared and ready for the next customer. I will always stay at this hotel when I visit Stratford.

Upon arrival the exterior of the building looked pretty good. But boy oh boy was it deceiving...

We walked into the hotel to see a dirty toilet at the bottom of the stairwell! Gross! When we walked into our room we noticed that everything was stuck in the 80’s! After that, we decided to check the beds for bed bugs, like we always do. There were none, but the sheets were ripped and torn and stained all over the place. Not cool!

All I have to say is if you’re looking for a nice clean hotel to stay in, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
