The Avon is a beautiful theatre surrounded by great shops & restaurants for all budgets. The Festival staff is excellent.
The lobby can get cramped, if you have tickets in the Balcony I would suggest going up right away, as there is another lobby there (with a larger bar & a balcony/veranda for fresh air) and it is often very empty until just before "the house opens". Restrooms for the Orchestra seating are located in the basement, and the Restrooms for the Balcony seats are located in a muster area between the seating and a lobby. Ushers are always standing centry to direct patrons in the proper direction.
Leg room decreases the further up in the balcony you get. I am around 6 foot tall and have to sit on an aisle if my ticket is not in the 1st two rows of the Balcony (or anywhere in the Orchestra). Even then I am very uncomfortable.
