As long time clients of Avery House, we returned this fall for yet another wonderful visit. We stayed in the newly renovated Loft/Sanctuary. We loved the refreshed decor and have already booked for next year.

The proprietors are always upgrading and looking for ways to enhance your visit. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about the plays, the restaurants and how the city ticks. They even send out newsletters reviewing the plays which we find helpful when selecting our choice of plays

We love the breakfasts, not only for the excellent homemade/locally sourced food but the camaraderie among the theatre lovers gathered at the table. For those who enjoy walking as we do, you can park your car and easily walk to all three theatres and restaurants

Room Tip: The Loft offers spacious accommodation and privacy. The Key West in the main house is large and newl...

Exceptional breakfasts featuring local foods, accommodating hosts, Amanda and John, and comfortable and attractive rooms make Avery House the go-to B&B in Stratford.

It's situated between the Festival Theatre and the Avon downtown just a short 15 min. walk to either. Tom Patterson is even closer.

We stayed in June 2016 and truly enjoyed our experience. We had previously stayed there in 2015 and returned again. The location of this B&B is within walking distance to all the theatres and restaurants. The room is well appointed with lots of little touches. But most importantly, the hospitality and food are second to none. They truly make an effort to ensure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay with them. Breakfasts are family style with beautifully prepared homemade meals. Everything that is prepared with care and the freshest of ingredients.

We stayed in the Bali Suite for one night and it was absolutely perfect! The attention to detail was beautiful and the breakfast was marvellous! They were able to accommodate our gluten free requirements with short notice too. I would definitely return again.

As longtime Festival goers, we've stayed in a number of B & B's in Stratford. Avery House is the best! It is conveniently located within easy walking distance of theatres and shopping; and hosts John and Amanda provide a comfortable, welcoming environment including immaculate, elegant rooms, sumptuous breakfasts, restaurant recommendations, and a notebook of theatre reviews. Staying at Avery House makes the whole Stratford experience even more enjoyable.

We actually stayed at the inn next door and both the main house and this one were beautiful. One of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. We had the breakfast and it was amazing. They are careful to consider all dietary needs. When we came back from breakfast someone had already cleaned our room. Rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Everyone is kind and helpful, wanting to meet everyone's needs. There is some street noise since it's on a main road, but I would definitely stay there again. Walking distance to downtown and all of the theaters.

We loved everything about this B&B -- the well-appointed room with its beautiful mural of blue sea and sky and silky smooth bed linens, and the extremely hospitable owners who so kindly prepared a special breakfast to accommodate a lactose intolerance. Another thing I noted were the calibre of guests, clearly discerning individuals who loved theatre and the good things in life. That made for great conversation at the breakfast table and added yet another wonderful layer to our Stratford weekend.
