John and Amanda are the perfect hosts, with the latest information on the Festival, restaurants, and Stratford in general. If you're staying through Sunday night (perhaps to catch Comedy of Errors at the Studio), they know which restaurants are open on Sunday evenings. Breakfasts come in stages; fruit, granola, yogurt and oatmeal; something baked (muffins, cheddar biscuits); then the main (an egg dish, something sweet and rich) with sides such as home smoked pork slices or local sausage. This is the best B&B experience ever, and we come back again and again.

Another lovely stay with John and Amanda this week. Such a wonderful property with impeccably clean and beautifully designed rooms, and well maintained gardens. The homemade breakfast is always delicious with locally grown produce and meats (John usually has something new up his sleeve. This time a savoury herb peach focaccia which was heavenly). Coffee and tea are on early, for early birds like me. Amanda’s local restaurant recommendations are always reliable. They both go out of their way, with locally hired student staff support, to make you feel welcome and comfortable. And they even grow beautiful monarch butterflies out back.

I have been going to Stratford for decades and fortunately in the last five years or so I was introduced to Avery House. I stay in the Sanctuary Suite and have the luxury of spending four to five days there. It is an absolutely beautiful suite with lovely amenities, beautiful bathroom and shower, sitting area and deck. John and Amanda do everything to make the stay enjoyable and John's breakfasts are delicious not to mention the lively conversation about the plays as we eat. The Sanctuary Suite has a beautiful deck (and kitchen with microwave) so that I can eat in if I feel like it. I return every year and am never disappointed. Avery House is the best there is in Stratford.

As always everything was perfect for a relaxing visit. The Crane Suite (our favorite) never disappoints---the space has been lovingly decorated and lovingly maintained. A few of the "highlights" we appreciate are the outstanding linens, super comfortable bed, updated bathroom fixtures, adequate closet space, and the suite's central air conditioning. Included is a small covered porch surrounded by colorful flower boxes. This is a bright cheerful place to stay.

Room tip: The Crane Suite is very quiet and bright.

Another fantastic visit to the Avery house! John and Amanda make you feel at home. It is perfectly located for walking to the Stratford Festival plays. Johns breakfasts were outstanding as always! Our roomThe Aerie Suite (previously Key West) is very large, with a very comfortable king sized bed. It has a sitting area outside as well. Highly recommended!
Thank you John and Amanda, can't wait for next year!!!
