Description: For three decades The Keystone Alley Café has continually evolved, from its start as a small coffee shop into the popular casual fine dining restaurant that you see today. The Keystone Alley Cafe was named after the well-known Keystone Bakery located on these premises earlier. The 'alley' in the current name describes the area adjacent to the restaurant used for patio dining in the summer months. The Keystone Alley Cafe strives to provide a family style menu of fresh, bold flavoured foods, while supporting locally and sustainably. Over the years, many improvements have been made, including the addition of the "Key'd Inn", a spacious two bedroom suite rental situated above the restaurant.

Lunch at Keystone was busy but efficient. The menu satisfied all of us from 8-80 years old. Especially impressive were the quiche, platter, steak frites and fish and chips. The poppyseed lemon dessert is worth returning for many times. The location is ideal: minutes walk from Studio and Avon theatres.
Dinner and after theatre menus look tempting: muscles, for example. We're looking forward to returning for dinner and after theatre.

Fast, friendly service. We had the hippie salad and the mezza plate. Tasty fresh and healthy. The alley patio was delightful. Packed before the 2pm theatre, reservations wise.

I found the food a little bland. However, it is a very nice place to eat. The french fries were delicious.

We enjoyed a delightful anniversary dinner on the patio. The duck mousse pate' was our starter, and it was presented with a rhubarb compote that enhanced it perfectly. The pate' was silky, luscious, and a good indicator of the quality of our dinners to come. We ordered the brisket with roasted vegetables and the chicken stuffed with wild leeks and mushrooms - both were perfectly prepared and presented and completely delicious. We actually ate all of our entrees! We usually bring home half. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service was excellent. Check out the menu on their website!

1st Jen with a generous wine pour for Joy & an excellent Manhattan...Then Frances led us though the menu with great Keystone Alley selections. My Hippie Bowl with chicken was excellent. Kudos to the whole Keystone Alley team & especially Frances...
