Best location, right in the heart of the beautiful waterfront district with so many great spots within a five minute walk. We usually rent the king suite for a stay, the price is unbelievable for the quality of the suite that you get. Rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet, the perfect trifecta! The restaurant in the hotel serves delectable meals, and features our favourite Sunday brunch, as well as an amazing prime rib dinner buffet on the weekends. Kory in the sales department has always ensured that our stay is second to none, and always goes above and beyond to make sure that we are happy with it. This lady deserves a giant raise for all she does!!

Stayed there for 3 nights. Price was right. Continental breakfast was mediocre but it was something. The room I was in was spacious, fairly updated. Beds were economy. Bathroom was old, plumbing a challenge, some taps worked backwards and the shower hot and cold were backwards. Making for a challenging shower. The water temperature fluctuated so working the taps would only do so much. There was a 1.5 inch gap at the bottom of the door and light could be seen all around the door at night. Lobby was nice.

Good morning Wade S
Thank you for selecting the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel and Suites for your accommodations during your visit to Thunder Bay. Also thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay.
We have made a number of upgrades to our guest rooms over the past year and more is to be done to ensure our guests are comfortable. One of our projects which is currently underway is updating of our bathrooms which will include pressure balance valves that will make water temperature control much easier.

Best place to stay in Thunder Bay, Tony and his staff treated me very well. Wonderful views over the bay and to the Sleeping Giant! Location brilliant for downtown restaurants and nightlife, plus it's right on the waterfront.

Thunder Bay was the destination I chose to give my grade school age child the experience of driving from the USA to Canada. I wanted to find lodging that would allow us to do minimal driving while in the city and that wouldn't break the bank. Prince Arthur Waterfront met those specifications. It is centrally located, across the street from a lovely park with ice rink and art gallery and a 15-minute walk from Hoito, a famous cafe where we had lunch.

The building was obviously old, but that added to its charm as as historic railroad hotel so we did not expect 5-star modern amenities. The rooms were clean and no-frills. We felt safe and were greeted warmly by staff. The pool was somewhat disappointing as the temperature was quite a bit chillier than indoor pools we have otherwise experienced. The restaurant was adequate - large portions at reasonable prices, but nothing fancy or notable.

All in all, this would be a fine choice for families with children given its excellent location and friendly/safe quality.

Wife became citizen last December told her would visit Thunder Bay, where she moved from to the states 62 years prior.
Beautiful scenery pleasant trip checked into Prince Arthur Hotel an early 1900s 4 story place. Rooms not modern but; clean and walking distance to shore and downtown. Very pleasant stay.
