Had a very pleasant dinner here for a relative's birthday.
We were five including a vegetarian and a 10 year old.
They could not have been more accommodating. They did an off - menu dish for the youngster. They moved some of our excess stuff onto another vacant table (we were eating early). Service was efficient but not rushed.
The menu was the usual Italian appetizers, pizza, pasta and fish and meat plates, but with some interesting twists as well as old standards. It was all good. I was very happy with my spaghetti carbonara.
Free (good) tiramisu with a sparkler for the birthday person was a nice end to the meal.
Prices were fair for the setting and service. Portion sizes were just right and there was plenty of bread.
We will be back.

Pretty well repeating everything that is the standard at Florentia...new management equals perfection and attention to all the details ..food/service/price.
We are there at least a couple of times a month and always walk out with a smile.

Try any of the fish dishes or pastas( I am not a meateater) and make sure you have their tiramisu and limoncello .
Very welcome addition to midtown. Downtowners and tourists take note!

We (4 people) just returned from a lunch from this relaxing restaurant on Mt. Pleasant. Tony (owner/maitre'd) was excellent. Pastas very fresh and nice lamb dish. My husband, who is a celiac, was given several choices as well as a dish of gluten free crackers. The volume of their music was perfect, we could hear each other talk and the pace of the dishes perfect. Lovely house red wine as well. Tirasamu outstanding. Will be back.

I had walked and driven by this restaurant many times but had never eaten there. Tonight two of us tried it out, and on the basis of our experience it is of the same general quality as Positano, about a block to the north. The service is cheerful and competent; the food is a couple of cuts above the ordinary. One of us had fish, the other had the steak; both mains were very good. The butternut squash soup was also good, as were the desserts. The courses and wines are reasonably priced. Recommended.
