“Great for stopover at airport!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel because it had the lowest prices for park and fly (included, 8 days). Usually we stay at the Radisson (all suites) down the road, so I can offer a comparison here.

The hotel is very close to the airport and the shuttle did not stop along the way, it is approx 5 - 7 minutes drive. It was late picking us up by 10 mins, no big deal. We waited over 30 mins when we landed for a return shuttle but that may have been because some folks got on the wrong bus - when it arrived the driver was unceremoniously throwing them (a family with a young child) back off the bus! Not a great impression. Given the # of HI in the area, I'm not sure it was entirely their fault (buses show up randomly and you always need to check yourself if they're going where you want).

It is a typical HI - nice lobby, the staff EXTREMELY friendly and professional. The rooms were small compared to the Radisson which has a sitting area and sleeping area. But the heated bathroom floor is a nice touch. Shower was great. Amenities - shampoo, lotion, shower cap. Beds were comfortable but I found the pillows really "stuffed' (just a personal thing, I don't like my head at a 45 degree angle to sleep). We did not use the restaurant. The TV channels were great, everything you'd probably need. No fridge in room but a/c worked great.

In short, good location for airport, excellent staff, comfortable rooms - I would stay here again if they offered the best rate, otherwise probably return to Radisson. Both offer park & fly rates with above-ground parking, both close to airport, both have restaurants on-site, Radisson has a separate sitting area and pull-out couch good for families.

We have stayed here several times over the years. The rooms have always been clean and decent. The heated bathroom floors are so nice. The restaurant and lounge though are something else though. Service is extremely slow and the staff just doesn't seem to really care.
The prices are also quite high. We usually either walk to Timmy's just down the street or order delivery.

Parking $14. $6 I think even for a half hour making it nearly impossible for anyone to visit. Rooms downtrodden and havent seen a tube tv in a hotel for some time...toilet ran and ran. Kids found bugs in pool and were turned off from swimming. Front desk staff also gave one key...who does that in a hotel? Bottled water in hotel room which would be nice if they didnt charge $5 for it. Only good thing was location and free wireless internet. Thank god i used hotwire and at least didnt pay full price.

A very nice Holiday Inn close to the Toronto Intl Airport. Shuttles to the airport depart every 20-30 mins.
The rooms are good and quite modern. There is free wifi in the rooms. No complaints here! Just that they charge $14 for parking in an area where parking is freely available.

We were moved to this hotel because Hotel Indigo did not have the 24 hr shuttle and Indigo sent us to the wrong Holiday inn.
Never in my life have we been so rudly treated by a front desk person.

Ada was her name and yes we were at her hotel by mistake but if that is the way she treats customers then Holiday inn is in trouble.

Wow what a pc of work.
I did file a complaint with Holiday Inn too

I often stay at this hotel either at the beginning or end of a trip out of Toronto Pearson.

In the spacious, comfortable lobby, there is morning coffee and free computers/internet to use. Wifi is also free!

The 24 hour shuttle service is efficient, running every 20 minutes and it's about 5 minutes, door to door, from hotel to airport terminal.

While staying here last week, I had dinner at the on-site the restaurant. I appreciated the way I was treated, as a single traveller, and had a good meal, then settled in for a brief sleep before an early morning flight.

Even though the hotel is very close to the airport, I didn't hear a single plane flying over.

Nice executive suites, closest hotel to the airport, helpful staff, great long-term parking rates for PC members ($10/day, 1 day complimentary). 8/10
