Enjoy the entire day exploring this multi-island park. It's pictureque with great views of the Toronto skyline. Rent a bike and enjoy the day. Bring a picnic lunch. You will need your own boat or take the Island Ferry.

For kids Centre Island is a lot of fun. For adults there is a long ways of roller blading and/or biking you can get in. There is so much beauty on the island. Walking through the 'cottages' on Ward's island is really neat. When you get to the north side of the island there is this huge dock that looks like it could receive a cruise ship. And for the daring the nude beach at Hanlon's point is very 'freeing'.

Toronto has a great set of parks and recreational areas, which makes the Toronto island a rarely visited spot. It's a gem of a location with a series of paved paths, picnic benches and all the visual spender of a city park.

But.... you need to cross the harbor to visit it. And that fact alone makes many people skip visiting it. To get to the Toronto Island Park you'll need to navigate the Toronto Ferry Terminal. That alone requires getting in line early as it tends to be the bottleneck of all island travel.

Get past that... and the world opens up. There are many little attractions in the park, small restaurants, the peer, beaches... all which make it worth traveling and wandering. Bring a bike, bring a friend, bring some entertainment or just a book. The island is a great way to spend a day or evening.
