Nice hotel in need of a little facelift. Rooms clean and spacey. Lifts not working properly but being serviced now so this problem about to clear out.
Best thing about the hotel was a very friendly staff! They helped me with whatever I needed during my stay.

Due to the recent ice storm and having to attend a funeral, I stayed at the Delta Toronto East because it was close to where I had to be. I was surprised by the size of the hotel, it's mammoth! The 2-storey slide and pool area makes it very appealing for kids. There's also a foosball and ping pong table along with an arcade. The service was super friendly and most helpful. Located at Kennedy and the 401, the Delta Toronto East is not for everyone visiting the "Six". If you are going to the Zoo, this would be a great spot. If most of your time is to be spent downtown, I would not choose this hotel. The parking is $12.00 a day. The hotel restaurant was so-so and had hotel prices for food. The great service and family atmosphere with a host do available facilities really makes the Delta Toronto East a desirable hotel if the location is right for you!

Upon entering this hotel, the immediate smell is of chlorine and it's unseasonably humid in the lobby. Why? well, there is a pool and a waterslide in a glass enclosed atrium right off the lobby, near the restaurant and bar. It's like being at the local Y when trying to eat and drink. If you are there for a conference and have your kids with you, maybe this makes sense, but it made for a strange environment. wasn't too loud or anything, just smelly and humid.
the hotel is really old and banged up. the elevators are all scraped up and the rooms have not been upgraded in some time. lots of dark wood, old curtains, and old furnishings. the HVAC would not go below 72 degrees and the fan wouldn't run all night, so no noise generator. the walls are thin, too - i heard a 4:30 am wake up call and lots of talking in the room next door.
the bar had a good selection of local and domestic canadian beers, which was a positive. also annoying to pay $12 per night to park when the hotel is surrounded by plenty of parking. i'm happy to pay in the city, but not in the suburbs. at least the wifi was free. the staff was pleasant and helpful but it doesn't make up for the outdated rooms or the humid conditions. i would not stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Tower rooms are away from the pool and water slide. West wing is near the pool.

The lobby was beautiful upon entering the hotel. But as you walked into the lobby, the smell of chlorine from the "saltwater" pool was overwhelming. The dark hallway with carpet that had bumps in it was a little scary on our way to our room. Our room was old and disappointing. The ceiling had water stains. The carpet had marks from what looked like an old fridge in the room. Our bathroom sink had a crack, and the stopper for the bathtub was broken. There was rust on the shower head, and rust on the receptacles. Our beds looked horrible. They were not flat and looked very odd when we walked into the room. We thought something was under the blankets but, upon further examination, it was the comforter that was patched up that made the bed look odd. The dust in the room was thick on the lamp bases, and really bad behind the night stand. The telephone in the room was really dirty, good thing we didn't need to use it. The bathtub had a soap scum rim. The staff in the dining room were absolutely wonderful. Very pleasant, very helpful and kind. The pool definitely had chlorine in it. The smell of chlorine and burning eyes after swimming is unmistakable, but the hotel advertises a saltwater pool. This hotel definitely needs upgrading and a good scrubbing. Ice machines are located on every other floor, odd numbered floors only.

Dear Valued Guest,

At the Delta Toronto East we strive to exceed our guests’ expectations and it is only comments such as yours that will assist us in attaining our goals. The Delta Toronto East had undergone a multi-million dollar to our newly renovated rooms and public areas. The swimming pool was part of the renovation and converted to a salt water pool.

I apologize for the experience you had, and appreciate that you took the time to provide us the feedback. Rest assured I will be sharing your comments with our Housekeeping and Health Club Managers.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

Spent two nights here at the beginning of March break with our 4 year old granddaughter. We were pleasantly surprised by the way the staff catered to children. She was given an opportunity to color while waiting during registration and checking out. The breakfast and dinner buffets, which were free for 6 and under, included several options that apealed to her and the other children. When she was tearful on our last morning a hostess gave her extra attention and provided her with a snack and drink for the ride home.
We chose the hotel for its proximity to the Ontario Science Centre and the Toronto Zoo and for its pool. We were not disappointed even though the pool was crowded with other March break vacationers. Again the staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable. One of three elevators was being upgraded so there was some waiting involved but this was the only inconvenience we had to deal with.
Overall I greatly recommend thus hotel to families looking to vacation together in this area of Toronto.
