this is a great idea (how could it not be), was a1 in its day. needs a revamp tho, has a bit of a backwater feel to it and falls short of current global standard for similar venues

“Lots and lots of shoes, well presented”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2012

Who would want to spend an hour looking at shoes that are not for sale? The Bata Shoe Museum offers three floors of exhibits on the history of shoes through the years, starting way back when, and it is quite entertaining. Thursday evening is "pay what you can" but the larger crowd makes it difficult to follow the sequence and read all of the interesting anecdotes. Certainly worth a stop, as it is probably the only such museum in the world.

“Interesting museum but smaller than it looks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2012

There are some interesting exhibits and information at the Bata shoe museum so it's worth a look, but it isn't actually as big as it looks from outside so although it was interesting, it'd be nice if there were a couple more floors with more exhibits and facts.

“Over-rated”

Too costly to see pairs of old and older footwear, its a pure commercial money grabbing operation.
