“Beautiful and relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2012

before a blab on here. Great food, great coustomer service, great room, great spa. +++++++

My girlfriend brought me here for a Staycation/birthday. We went for the bed and breakfast deal I believe and added the spa package. We recived a gift card for christmas for the Ritz so this came in handy at the end or our one night, one day blow out...$1200. Now, this was becuase we had a gift card and drank a ton and ate a ton at the beautiful restaurant Toca. and got the full spa package

Things i loved about the Ritz, coustomer service was over the top, Spa was clean and the attendants over the top helpful, i walked around the whole time in my classy thick robe.

told them we were there for my birthday, their was a beautiful cake and a card from staff in our room, the room was so nice and comfortable. I can really go on for hours, really a lot of money but I have never had so much fun or felt so comfortable in one place, for 24hrs we never left the property. beautiful...beautiful.. thank you very much.

Room Tip: we had the city view which was nice but, if you are not from toronto, go with the CN Tower view, bea...

In to for leafs game and dinner. This place is $600+ per night. Yes the rooms are spacious and luxurious, but there is no view and everything is Extra? At this price everything should be included. Thank heavens the Leafs won.

Room Tip: Try to get a deal on the internet fora little less.

I stayed only one night (unfortunately...). Room was huge, very elegantly furnished. The bathroom is amazing, with a TV inside the mirror, which is very useful if you don't have a lot of time, as you can catch up on the news while shaving!

The staff were very helpful.

Sure I am going back.

I was there recently for business and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Location - in the heart of the entertainment district; beside the Rogers Centre, across from Roy Thomson Hall, Princess of Wales theatre, and Metro Convention Centre
Room - posh and spacious, especially the bathroom with separate tub, glass shower, and toilet stall. Had never seen a TV screen displaced on a bathroom mirror! The king-sized bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. As a previous reviewer noted, the room was extremely warm, even with the heat shut off.
Amenities - large fitness centre that had everything I needed for a cardio and weight workout. A nice touch was the water cooler filled with cucumber and lemons. Salt water pool looked lovely with cedar lounge chairs for a Zen look, all on the same floor as the spa.
Food - had a buffet breakfast and lunch served during our business meetings. Excellent!
Front desk - courteous and efficient.
Plus, I hear many celebrities stay there. When I was there, the Buffalo Sabres were also there.

I loved a previous reviewer's quote, "be prepared for the lack". So, when my wife and I showed up having been lured by a third night free due to Amex Platinum FH&R program, I was so excited. Finally, Toronto had a RC and it was only 6 months old. Well, the shine quickly wore off for the following reasons:

1. The hotel is bland, kind of like Toronto itself.
2. The internet in my room did not work
3. Our 6 room service orders each took an hour to arrive and were all wrong or cold
4. Our room was not ready when we arrive at 11pm on Friday night. Preshit, the front desk agent, told us we should not have expected it to be.
5. We had to wait at the bar for 30 mins while they made our room up.
6. When we got into our room, they did not turn on the heat so it was cold in the morning
7. The very empty spa was too difficult to book. The room service being late made us late for the spa so we could not go to it.
8. Most of the rooms have no view. NONE. The website is misleading.

None of the staff were helpful. They seem untrained, mechanical and unempowered to make things right.

In the end, we asked for a full refund which is under consideration.

Room Tip: There are very few rooms with good views. Wifi is charged. Pool and hot tub is charged.

We spent three nights in a beautiful one bedroom suite on the club floor. When we arrived, we were whisked away to check-in and offered a welcome beverage. The kids were given special toys and were thrilled. The room was like a small apartment, very comfortable and modern. We loved the dark, wood floors. Both the bed and pull-out were comfortable and the view was very cool. At night we were mesmerized by the lights on the CN tower. The first night we had room service and it was delicious but the second time we ordered it was not as good. The staff were very friendly and eager to help with directions or recommendations. The lobby did resemble an office building but that didn't bother us at all. The view was beautiful but the area is not the best during the winter. Not many places within walking distance to pass the time. If you stay in the Yorkville area (as in the Four Seasons, Park Hyatt, Hazelton, etc.) there are shops, restaurants, museums right at your doorstep. The Ritz is close to the harbourfront and would be the perfect place to stay in the warmer months. The pool was not as impressive as other Ritz-Carlton properties. The Club Lounge was extremely spacious and had a very good staff. We would definitely stay at this property again! Give it a try, you will enjoy your stay.
