“My eating adventure!”
Reviewed 28 October 2016

This was such a lovely tour! The fun part is not knowing where you're heading to next. The tour guide provides a brief history of the business which makes this little adventure even more interesting. I'm looking forward to my next tour...so is my tummy! :-)

“A great way to spend an afternoon...”

Audrey was a great host, sharing interesting and entertaining info about the production of chocolate. The event was well organized and the small group made it feel very intimate. Highly recommended.

“Amazing food tour!”
Reviewed 26 October 2016

I joined the Sweet and Savoury Tasty Tours based upon a recommendation, and was very pleasantly surprised by how much I learnt from this tour. I have always been a big fan of good food, and I could not believe I had been oblivious to all these unique local spots and locations all this time. Big shoutout to my tour guide - Audrey for such an awesome tour!

“Tasty Tours - Toronto's ultimate chocolate tour”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 via mobile

Was really disappointed with this tour. While the tour guide knew her stuff, the tour fell really flat. It was boring and long and less focused on chocolate and the refining process, etc., than anticipated. Most of the stops had nothing to do with chocolate except that they happened to sell a chocolate product of some sort. The tour itself was too big for the shops we were entering and you just felt in the way the whole time. By the time we were done, as much as we liked the last shop (which was really only one of two stops that fit the tour description) we couldn't wait to leave. This tour is not recommended, though some of the stops on the tour may be, independent of the tour itself.

Hi there, we can't tell you how shocked and upset we are to find out you didn't enjoy the tour. Please email us at hello@tastytourstoronto.com so that we can refund you your ticket, as we don't feel it's right to accept compensation when you didn't have fun.

We're sorry that you may have had a misconception about the tour experience. Our tour description mentions that the tour samples chocolates and chocolate-based goodies, which is not unusual among chocolate tours as many people enjoy the variety of seeing how chocolate is used in different products. We've taken many chocolate tours and related activities (locally and overseas) to help us craft the best tour, and have been told that our chocolate tour provides a much higher level of chocolate education than others (including photos on the refining process, info on bean varieties, etc). Our guides are also happy to go into further detail if you ask! If you'd like to see actual chocolate manufacturing in process, we would suggest checking out one of ChocoSol's workshops (unfortunately too far of a distance to be part of our walking tour), although they make Mexican stone ground chocolate, as opposed to the European style chocolate that is the focus of our tour.

As the stores we visit are local establishments, many of them may be on the smaller side (one reason why we offer the smallest tour group sizes in Toronto), but all of them are very happy to have you here, including 3 store owners who, as part of the tour arrangement, took the time out of their work to personally introduce their store and products. We're glad that you at least enjoyed some of the stores we visited; hopefully you found a few new gems to revisit next time! Take care.

Took my best friend here for her bachelorette party! We had an amazing time. Audrey was our tour guide. She was so knowledgable and taught us a lot about food and Toronto! Would definitely go again!
