These bagels are so delicious! So happy I no longer need to pick-up bagels in Montreal...
Try the coconut bagel-too good for words!

We were walking by and stopped in to check out the wood fired bagels. They were awesome! Sweet, crisp and chewy. The crust was perfect and the owners were super-friendly! A lovely place to sit as well.

At long last there is a to die for bagel place in downtown Toronto located in Kensington Market, historically a great location years ago for bagels when Kensington Market was predominantly occupied by Jewish people.

The concept of baking a traditional bagel in a wood burning oven is truly wonderful. The crusty outside with the soft but chewy inside is totally delicious for anybody who likes bagels or have tried a lot less tasty bagels and would like to give bagels another try! It is almost a cross between a Montreal bagel and a Toronto bagel except the outside is a harder crust than most Montreal bagels and a little less chewy on the inside. But the real surprise is how the wood burning oven gives these bagels an awesome smoked flavor.

I've been back several times and have even carted a dozen back to Victoria to keep in my freezer which from time to time I take one out and enjoy it toasted!

I've had their bagel (toasted), cream cheese & lox plate which comes with lots of lox and a really tasty fresh greens salad. I have had a toasted bagel with cream cheese and strawberry jam which tasted almost like a delicious strawberry cream cheese and I have eaten them just as they are. Although they have a number of great choices, my favorite is the poppy seed bagels.
Roberto and Juan who are immigrated from Venezuela are extremely warm and friendly and very passionate about their bagels and how they prepare them. They love to give new-comers samples in order to get them "hooked". It is not so easy to eat other bagels now because there's are so yummy! They also have a lovely covered patio in front on Augusta Street!
You can also simply buy one, a half a dozen or a dozen to take home. Trust me, it will be well worth the visit. And when you're there please give Roberto or Juan regards from their best fan in Victoria, BC, - Ted!
