This restaurant has gained a reputaion amongst visitors from China and Hong Kong as a "must-visit" seafood restaurant from its former Silver Star Blvd to its current 4020 Finch Avenue East location. For a long-time Toronto resident, it was my first visit. On a Friday afternoon, the parking lot in the back was almost full, and the very large and open dining room was packed. The room was lined on three sides by large tanks of lobsters, crabs, fish, geoduck and other seafood. Very impressive. Our host ordered a set dinner for 5. We had a very similar meal at Yu's Seafood the day before, so it was a good opportunity for comparison. The filet cut sharksfins soup and the abalone were quite tasty. The lobster mountain and fried crabs were prepared very well, one star better than Yu's for both. Steamed Banded Grouper fish was ok, as expected. Service was efficient and friendly. Fishman deserves its reputation as a must-vsit restaurant for tourists.
