This is a half-decent hotel. My room was quite big, clean, well equipped and was also good value. The breakfast was quite poor - self-service cereal and toast with polystyrene bowls and plastic cutlery. It's a good 15-20 minute walk into downtown Toronto which didn't bother me, but I wouldn't feel safe walking south on Jarvis Street towards the harbour late at night. Beware of the way they handle bookings. The website where I made my booking didn't charge up front but simply calculated an estimated fee. They make the point that the final fee could be different. Unfortunately, I witnessed two unhappy guests - one whose booking was lost and another who complained about not being refunded a security deposit. Altogether, I would recommend this hotel for those on a budget - but just make sure you have all your paperwork.
