Welcome to flavor country! We ordered a meat tasting menu and a spiced raw beef dish - both of which were delicious and made with exotic spices. Service was good. Only downside was we had to wait about 45 minute for a table despite making a reservation.

If you’ve never had Ethiopian food be prepared to eat with your hands, you can always ask for a fork but it’s not as fun!

This cozy restaurant was perfect for a multi-generational dinner.

We ordered two tasting platters. One vegetarian, the other meat and veg and there was plenty of food for the four of us.

Being able to get 100% teff injera was perfect for those of use who are allergic to gluten.

The variety of dishes and portions were just right. The salad had the most amazing dressing. None of the dishes was too spicy, which was good for the 90-year-old in the group.

And the coffee? Beautiful, smooth, soothing, especially with the added aroma of frankincense.

Ethiopian food is seemingly adventurous for the first-timer, but if you are going to give it a shot in Toronto, Nunu is the place to do it. I have tried a half-dozen well-regarded peer restaurants in the city, and while they were all delicious, Nunu stands head and shoulders above the rest.

It's a meal that friends are still talking about months later, and some have returned on their own. Even some who were hesitant about trying Ethiopian to begin with.

Warm, inviting service. The food is amazing (vegetarian platters are very good, if that's a factor for you).

We had a fabulous Ethiopian dinner at Nunu (5 of us) just a week ago. This was our second meal there, and we would definitely go again when we are back in Toronto. We stayed at the Gladstone, which is just a short walk along Queen West.

The service, ambience, and food were all the best ! See you again in June !
