Food was amazing and delicious.. and surprisingly plentiful.. This is a gem, somewhat higher-end and classy but also very welcoming, modern, city-like..perfect combination.. Server was very attentive and again the food!.. the food!.. bill for two ( with three cocktails included) was around $150 after tax..very affordable considering quality of food and the overall presentation and ambiance of Byblos.. good place for a romantic dinner or quiet tête-à-tête

Only regret on first visit is that we could not try everything on menu. Do not believe any reviews that say it is expensive. Not so.very good value for excellent food if you appreciate good food . Lamb shoulder melts in your mouth. Had olives, almonds, seared cauliflower, tomato salad , egg plant kibbeh and desert was recommended by server ( quatrefoil , Turkish delight, sumac custard. Excellent. Very busy even at 6.30 pm. Promptly seated upstairs. Food service was quick and efficient. Server very atentative a wonderful overall dining experience

Spotted by a newly minted friend, we went to hang out. We could only get a 6 pm reservation, so we went with it. Worth it!
The atmosphere is a mix of Middle Eastern and Contemporary. The arrangement of seating downstairs along the broadside of the bar and platters of meze is quite ingenious. Smells floating by from the passing food was enough to tempt you well before your food arrived. What a great way to get your clients hooked!
The best way to go about it is to share and take it easy. If you want formal dining, you've missed the point if you are going with the atmosphere, which is fabulous. We had Joe help us out - a master to tease the best out of you from the menu. We started off with a great red wine.
We shared the Duck Kibbeh and Lamb ribs; followed by the Wagyu striploin - melt-in-your-mouth with no need to do much else. The accompanying cauliflour hummos was so creamy and delicious - would have been great with some bread if we had not soaked it up with the beef. We had green beens with that.
We decided to accent it all to finish with Loukoumades - not too heavy and with that lovely rich taste in your mouth to carry you out into the night.
I'm determined to work my way through the menu - looking forward to the adventure.

My wife and I ate here for a relaxing evening following a matinee at the theater. Our server basically picked our small plates for us and she was awesome. Nearly every dish offered a new combination of flavors or a novel preparation. We had baby artichokes, fattoush salad, roasted brussels sprouts, a wonderful sea bass (branzino) and an inventive baklava ice cream. The dishes are creative without being crazy (e.g. no fish eyeballs or chicken toenails) just really nice new flavors. If your spouse claims you are in a restaurant rut, go here!

Restaurant atmosphere is very modern and inviting - more so for an adult crowd. Highly recommend and return in the future.

Service was absolutely delightful and very knowledgeable about both the dishes themselves and suitable pairings.

Vine Ripened Tomato - would order again for the Persian Feta alone!
Black Truffle Wood Fired Bread - World Class! The Halloumi they use is worldly, with perfectly executed crispy bread and the earthy tones of the truffle.
Loukoumades - the burnt honey ice cream and crumble was exceptional. The tiny donuts accompanying the dish were a little doughy for my taste.

Chargrilled Cornish Hen* - Sauce was both too sharp and runny for my taste. Didn't bind well with the supporting toum and fried leeks.
*The hen was cooked perfectly, very moist and succulent - just poor execution on the sauce in my opinion.
