“Great food, great atmosphere and superb service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2012

Bibiche Bistro has now relocated to Queen Street East in the Beaches of Toronto. Proprietors Harry and Hugh continue to provide a great menu which changes as needed with the seasons and produce availability.

Harry is charming and engaging and knows his way around a wine suggestion or two. Tip: their house import red and white choices are excellent!

The menu has something for everyone and be warned... the portions are HUGE! You will not walk away hungry from Bibiche. My personal favourite is the lamb shank.

It's a great neighbourhood restaurant providing quality food and service without any pretentious attitude or stuffiness. It's a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Harry and Hugh are gems in the restaurant business.

“Fun and friendly and good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2012

We dropped in without reservations for our anniversary dinner and we were treated to a great evening. Not a lot of vegetarian options but I managed to find something - then the chef made the meal even better. We enjoyed talking with the owner who is very personable and quite the film aficionado. We ate well and had a terrific evening and be aware the portions are large so think doggy bag. Because the Beach is sorely lacking in great places to go for a nice dinner, we had not tried them out until now and we are happy we did. We'll be back for sure.

“Pleasant evening, great food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2012

My sister and her husband introduced us to this small bistro on the east end of Queen St. in the Beach area of Toronto. One of the owners was our host and server (the other was the chef). He was very pleasant and chatty, and he added to the quality of the evening. The menu is relatively small and changes occasionally. We all had something different and everything was excellent. The appetizers consist of salads, chicken liver pate, onion soup, etc, and are all about $8 or $9. The entrees range from $16 to $24 and cover everything from chicken, lamb shank, salmon, shrimp and seafood, steak, paella and a pasta dish. The food is excellent and the presentation equally so. For some items, the portions are HUGE. The paella was enough for two and so it was shared between two of us. Next time, I might be inclined to have two appetizers instead of an entree. Total bill for 4 with wine, $165.

It was very nice that we didn't feel hurried. It actually felt like restaurants in France, where you can spend many hours on a good meal. Highly recommended!

“Food with heart”

Many restaurants you go to are fine but Bibiche is just special and caring. A good laugh and great food just like dining with friends and you go to the hotel elated and thinking What a great night we just had wish they were closer to home.

“A Good Move!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2009

Bibiche has recently relocated to 2326 Queen East in The Beach - and what a great improvement! The new room is comfortable and warmly decorated. The food is just as great as in the old location but even more inventive, and still very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.
