My daughter just moved into the neighbourhood and our family decided to have dinner at the Schnitzel Hub. The food was very good with large portions of meat. We all ordered one of the schnitzels. You have a choice of pork, veal or chicken. They also have a good selection of German beers on tap. I would recommend this place if you are looking for some authentic German food in the heart of Toronto.

Please don't go into the restaurant business if you are not willing to offer quality food. I had the chicken schnitzel but was given some kind of processed meat which was disgusting. At 25 dollars a plate can you not add some potatoes and sauerkraut. Please don't tell me the vegetables are fresh when they are clearly frozen. I suggest you give this restaurant a pass . I truly miss the old Bloor Street Hungarian restaurants which were authentic and always busy.

Disappointing, flavorless and really tough.
Great schnitzel is thin sliced pounded and tender.
This was anything but.
Real veal is inherently tender.
Young cow is just cheap steak.
Sauerkraut was missing the real Hungarian vibe....not sour and no caraway. Cucumber salad was oily.
A generally sad experience for this Czech boy who has eaten this manna in Austria and who’s momma made the real thing.

On the wall, it is written "we bring attention to detail and care to all we do." We agreed. We were here for dinner for Winterlicious. The service and quality (and taste) of food sure did not disappoint us.
They have a German/Ukrainian mixed menu. The portions are generous and we have to pack some home.
Within walking distance from St. Clair subway and public parking, it is very convenient!
We will be back to try other things on the menu.

I suspect this place won't last much longer as it always looks quite empty when all the surrounding restaurants are busy at dinner -- which is too bad. The food is good and service is quite good, too.
