I am lucky enough to live within walking distance, and take it for granted.
Lovely park, great boardwalk, good views, no admission fee, easy to park, what's not to like about it!

This is an awesome place to see where they fought to save PEI from the French and what the cannons were like they used. Where you can take reenactment photos minus the military suits of that era. This can be done along the way on your walk on the boardwalk in Victoria Park.

The waterfront stroll is a very nice way to walk off a big breakfast. It's a 6.4 km stroll. God help you though if you end up needing a restroom after Labor Day. I was amazed to find no facilities. Got to see some wooded area therefore to take care of business. Not even a portable toilet in sight-yet folks playing tennis and kids playing on a nice playground. Very gross! Charlottetown is otherwise an extremely clean, friendly place with wonderful restaurants.

Wow, there is a lot to read and it is in English and French. The info on the boards is neatly organized and it felt like a mini museum. Nice place to stop at while walking along the water or enjoying a day at the park.
