The performers in the Highland Storm show are primarily students attending the College of Piping in Summerside. The show was in a large tent which meant that only those in the front row could see the dancing footwork well. We were disappointed in that but other than the dancing, we enjoyed the show immensely. The female soloist has a beautiful voice; the fiddler was incredibly talented and the College can be proud of all the pipers and drummers who performed. Very, very enjoyable! Nice prelude to the HIghland Games Festival we'll be attending in Fredericton this weekend.

After buying my tickets, I had buyer's remorse as I didn't know if I could take 1 1/2 hour of bagpipe music. Man, did I have the wrong impression. This was a well paced performance of Celtic bagpipes, drums, dancing, and singing primarily by the students and faculty of the College. The energy and enthusiasm of the show was very exciting. The proceeds of the show and concessions help the College. I got a wee dram of Scotch whisky at the intermission which warm my soul and make the feeling of Scotland even closer,

If you enjoy Celtic music then you will enjoy Highland Storm. Bagpipes, drums, Gaelic singing, highland dancing, step dancing and more! We loved this show.

Three generations enjoyed the show when we were on the Island earlier this month. If you enjoy bagpipes and highland dancing this is a "don't miss" experience.

We decided to go the night before and booked our tickets on line. We picked them up from the friendly staff and found some seats for our small clan. The show covers the full stage so just be aware of that when finding a seat. Get their early! The show was a great history lesson as well as performance of the traditional aspects of Celitc music and dance. Each performer was as friendly on the stage as off and was more than willing to take pictures and talk to young fans who were dancing in their chairs. If you have any Scottish blood in you at all, this show will stir your soul, and start looking at airfare.
