This is a place that has become an annual tradition at least once during the summer. It has not failed us yet. In addition, if you come towards the south from the Laurentians, you might be able to take a nice drive through St. André d’Argenteuil, to the Carillon Boat to cross the Ottawa River straight to Pointe Fortune.
This year I visited with a friend for lunch during the week and it was also good. And in September we went for a Sunday Brunch. I guess it would be a good idea to forget about your diet for a day. The good news is by suppertime, you are still not hungry.
You may start your meal with the traditional breakfast fare, including toasts, eggs, sausages, bacon, potatoes, beans etc., there are also pancakes, cheeses, cooked salmon, smoked salmon, trout, shrimps, pâté, salads, fresh fruit salad, and a sweet-table containing quite a few interesting deserts, something for every taste, such as blue-cheese spread in a pumpernickel bread, a frozen half-lemon stuffed with a sorbet served in a transparent plastic pocket. The seating is comfortable, and in the summer there is also a terrace. Reservations for Sunday Brunch are a must!
