this is the best sunday brunch in Montreal. I tried many other, but this one had a lot of choices.
Everything was well presented, lots of vegetables and a great variety. The family had a great time and service was excellent. Will go back.

We went to Le Montréalais for breakfast and dinner several times. This classic European restaurant overlooks the cathedral across the street, providing an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy metropolitan city.  A wide selection of set menus are available.  From the goat cheese salad and filet mignon with béarnaise, to the very health conscious menus featuring fresh fish and vegetable creations, everything was scrumptious.  The breakfast buffet had a large variety of items.  We were never disappointed.

Was there for a brunch last saturday during the long easter week-end. Used to go there for many years for business breakfasts. One thing is consistency. Nothing has changed there in many years. But all this is maybe now a bit "passe".

On the positive side, the freshly squeezed orange juice. On the negative side, the buffet (which for some reason seemed to be the only brunch option) was quite conventional and basic. For 26$ per person, you normally get fresh cooked your own style omelett, or some nice piece of meat, or some seafood...there was nothing special in this one, and it seemed that the dessert part was the same one as the day before and the days before given the level of freshness (or the lack thereof).

And it was occupied only to about 25% capacity. On a long week -end for easter, maybe a little extra like bunnies or easter eggs or something could have been fun for the kids...so not a huge deception, what was there was basically ok, but the lack of something "Special" results in my 3.

I have tried different "buffets" in Montreal and no restaurant comes close to the Montréalais. The food is fresh and delicious, from the salad to the dessert. Also, the waiters are very nice and helpful. I went there three or four times and have never had a bad experience.

Three of us went for supper. Service was very good and the food was well prepared, well served and enjoyed. Wine list is somewhat expensive but offers a large selection of both whites and reds.
Did not have desert so no comments.
Restaurant was quiet in spite of being reasonably full of patrons.
I especially enjoyed the rack of lamb.
