My son and I just came home from a quick two night stay in Montreal. When we decided to visit Montreal, we looked on trip advisor to decide where to stay. We decided to try this hotel because of the location and the room photos. I am so happy I chose this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. Besides the abundant charm and character, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They make a lovely cappucino too! We loved coming back to our room; a welcoming, spacious, brick walled oasis. While our third floor room didn't have full city views, it did have a view of the street below that we thought was lovely.

Room Tip: We loved our room 308. It had a king bed and a convertable couch.

The hotel is right on a street in local downtown Montreal. It's sort of easy to miss because it blends in to the shops and restaurants around the area, which is a very good thing because everything is within walking distance.

My girlfriend and I went to Montreal for a short vacation to experience the French cuisine. The hotel itself is accommodating, and staff are very friendly and helpful. There's free breakfast and coffee. They even make you a specialty coffee once a day!

The actual room we got was a single king size bed. It was a bit on the smaller side if you are used to American hotels. The bathroom is pretty cramped. The door barely touched the toilet when you close it. Shower pressure was dismal. WiFi was unstable and at points slow. Overall I loved the location, but certain amenities could have been improved.

We just finished a 7 night stay in Montreal. It was our first visit to the city and we were very pleased with our room, the service, and the location. We arrived early and they stored our bags and made recommendations for lunch. Our room was an extra large and suited our needs for our entire stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The lighting was excellent, with additional reading lamps on both sides of the bed. Our room overlooked a street but the curtains blocked light and the room was quiet. We had two seating areas. The hotel has either just been refreshed or they keep it in perfect shape. Nothing was worn down. The front desk is manned day and night and the concierges are always willing to help with suggestions. They helped when we booked with recommendations for guides. A continental breakfast was included in our room price. It is very convenient to have this available on site. The location in Old Montreal makes is very convenient for walking to many areas or those further out by bus to Metro. We recommend this hotel to anyone interested in spending time in the city and will stay here again on a return visit.

So let me start by mentioning up front how nice the desk staff was. Coffee? Wi sir, massage? Wi miss, so polite, so helpful, and if you have read my other reviews you know about my coffee and wine love. They make their coffee to order fresh and with a smile that will make you wish for them instead if the barista when you walk in to your local snarfbucks.
Ok, the hotel,
The amazing raw brick walls and cement were rugged and romantic to say the least and if you are looking to rekindle your relationship, this is the place. The lounge is sexy deep house music on some days and a little more lively on others. You would never guess you were not in a $700+ per night place. The rooms are sexy and private, we heard no noise from other guests while we were looking for peace and privacy. Easily better than the other boutiques we looked at in the area and with twice the room for the money.

Not to mention it's perfect location for shopping and restaurants(the little place across the street makes a mean negroni btw and has great dinner)
It really is a perfect location for dining and shopping.
5 out of 5 or 100 points.
