“Very Enjoyable, Definitely Recommended”

This place is very enjoyable, not only for kids but for adults as well. In my opinion this was the best part of the entire Botanical Garden. If you have kids they will love it. Lots of different insect species on display (although I was expecting more live ones), they also have interactive presentations but (and this is my only criticism) they are only in French, why?? I can understand this is Montreal but how many people visiting this place are tourists?? Serious lack of consideration on their part in that regard. But this once con does not outweigh the pros.

The access is included in the ticket for the Botanical Gardens otherwise we might not have chosen to go, but we very positively surprised. It shows a lot of interesting creatures. For sure the right place to go with children

As for the Insectarium…it was part of the package (along with the Botanical Gardens and the Biodome), so I agreed to go. NOTE: I hate insects. ;) However, saying that…this was actually a very well done insect museum. (Unfortunately…I’ve been to one other. So, not much to compare this to…but this one was much better!) I didn’t get nearly as “creeped out” as I thought. And, this place isn't all that big, so I could handle the 30 minutes we walked around. I really enjoyed the number of butterfly species they had on display. Kids will dig this place and you can step on a scale to see how many millions of ants you weigh!

“Not bad”

We visited here during our visit to the botanical gardens. The displays were beautiful and you are able to see both live and preserved insects. The building can get incredibly crowded and stuffy. There is a playground outside and many small displays for the kids.
