Owner description: Ste-Catherine Street is divided in two parts by St-Laurent Boulevard: East and West. The West Street is home to Complexe Desjardins, one of the most important skyscrapers of the city. The area is near the University of Quebec in Montreal and is home to shopping, music venues and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montreal.

Laberinthe, the shopping veins in the lungs of Montreal makes you connect and walks kilometers without getting cold, but if the weather is good stick outside it's worth the stroll. Make sure to do Crescent and the surrounding streets. Stop at Alexamdre (st. Peel) to sip a coupe de champagne and read your paper and feeling like to be in Paris for a moment. It's Montreal wher cultures meets.

If you really want to have a taste of the famous Rue Ste-Catherine, you have to walk it , you can just be in a taxi or on a bus tour to see it, it's simply something that you have to feel , it's a nice experience, but I would not recommend to walk it alone at night , If you a single lady , at least have a companion !

Absolutely loved the fact that the shops were underground as well as on the street level as it was very cold and you could wander for ages

St Catherines street if fun to explore, from the multiple shoe stores ( which I loved) to Old Navy, a ridiculously expensive liquor store, and even the odd strip clubs its a shoppers haven. Montreal very safe for walking even after dark and this is a longggg street so wear something comfortable. Its a great place to people watch, stop and have a locally brewed beer, or buy a coffee and sit outside. One of my favourite places for shopping, no outlets on this strip but fun none the less. Love to wander this street.
