Owner description: Ste-Catherine Street is divided in two parts by St-Laurent Boulevard: East and West. great that a lot of this street can be accessed under ground especially when it is snowing outside but most of the shops are commercial and chains and nothing too special.

Ste-Catherine is always worth an afternoon when on a visit to the city. The shopping is the best anywhere in the city and its fun for people watching too!

You cannot see all the stores in one day!
Underground malls all attached without having to go outside (into the cold Montreal wind in winter season). Every store you can imagine!

Laberinthe, the shopping veins in the lungs of Montreal makes you connect and walks kilometers without getting cold, but if the weather is good stick outside it's worth the stroll. Make sure to do Crescent and the surrounding streets. Stop at Alexamdre (st. Peel) to sip a coupe de champagne and read your paper and feeling like to be in Paris for a moment. It's Montreal wher cultures meets.

If you really want to have a taste of the famous Rue Ste-Catherine, you have to walk it , you can just be in a taxi or on a bus tour to see it, it's simply something that you have to feel , it's a nice experience, but I would not recommend to walk it alone at night , If you a single lady , at least have a companion !
