Owner description: Ste-Catherine Street is divided in two parts by St-Laurent Boulevard: East and West. The West Street is home to Complexe Desjardins, one of the most important skyscrapers of the city. The area is near the University of Quebec in Montreal and is home to shopping, music venues and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montreal.

This used to be a fun place to go but now with the parking and traffic definitely not worth it!

Especially if you are driving there, i would suggest to save some penny and go to bigger mall such as fairview, carrefour laval, etc...

If you take the metro then it's worth it...

I didn't like my experience because with all the traffic and pedestrian walking everywhere it's a nightmare... Also last time i notice someone has bumped into my front bumper due to parallel parking!!

I will never go there again i believe shopping in mall will be the future no one wants to pay 6$/hour just to park your car when you can do it at the mall for free and avoid major traffic!

Cheers,

Eric Van Nguyen

I live in Montreal so I seen St-Catherine in general always dirty streets and sidewalks, with graffitti onwalls and homeless or mentally ill people.

I remember this street about 15 years ago with its boarded up shops and graffiti. It could not have undergone a more positive transformation since. All of the major fashion labels area located on a compact area of the street, right in the heart of the city.

great that a lot of this street can be accessed under ground especially when it is snowing outside but most of the shops are commercial and chains and nothing too special.
