I have visited the Old Port of Montreal numerous times! It is one of the best places to visit. There are always various activities going on, winter and summer, but summer is the best time to go in my opinion.

Everyone speaks French first but then you say "hi" and they immediately revert to English. The streets are quaint and cobblestoned
What a treat to roam these streets and stop in for a pastry along the way. Window shop while admiring the buildings
Somewhat disappointing to find so many restaurants and businesses closed this time of year. The cold forces all the charming sidewalk cafés to close. Not only that, but the construction crews were out in full force. Everywhere we went there were ugly equipment and signage spoiling the normal charm. Maybe we’ll try another visit in summer.
Wonderful to wonder the street and shops through the day, but I believe better at night, when with the help of an Ap, you can follow a guided history tour and enjoy the projections on the buildings, Not to be missed!
We took the Walking Tour of Old Montreal East side with Pierre. Loved it. Pierre did a great job. Booked it through Trip Advisor.
