We were really impressed by the staff and our wonderful breakfast.
We found our accommodations to be comfortable. The location of the hotel made for easy access to restaurants and entertainment. We'll stay there on our next trip.

Good Day Resort,

It is really nice to read your comment and we thank you.

Indeed, the location of the hotel is a great advantage for our guests and it is very easy to get around the city during your stay.

We are really glad that you enjoyed your “wonderful breakfast”. We invite you to discover also “La Relève Gourmande’’, another restaurant located on the second floor of the school, where impressive students of various programs practice their cooking and serving skills.

Thank you again for your king words. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back at hotel de l’ITHQ on your next trip.

I'm not particularly sure how this hotel is classified as a 4-star hotel, with the exception of the impeccable service in the restaurant. The room itself seemed more like a budget hotel as most of the decorations and furniture seemed a bit dated to me. The biggest issue I had with the room was the ancient A/C unit that didn't seem to cool the room down at all. I had it on the coldest setting on the max fan speed and yet I found myself hot quite often. It got to the point where I would keep the balcony door open before I went to sleep to really cool down the room, which is pretty bad considering that outside temps were in 4 - 5 Celsius range. This can be attributed to being my fault maybe as I do run quite hot and typically am a person who keeps my house and hotel rooms frigid. The best part was the location and breakfasts in the morning. I think for our next trip to Montreal we will find something in a similar location but will skip on the ITHQ Hotel. Not really sure if the value is there considering it's part school and part average hotel. If those things don't bother you then feel free to book (so long as the price is good, I wouldn't pay over $150 USD/night), otherwise, look elsewhere.

Dear guests,

Thank you for your comments. They are important to us. We are sorry to read that your stay was not up to your expectations. You will be happy to know however, that our rooms are set to be completely renovated during the next year, including our ventilation system! Everybody has different tastes, but this is no reason for all of our guests to be comfortable!

Your comfort inside and outside the room is what makes you feel at home and our room renovations will take care of just that! We certainly hope that you would come back and visit us next year to get a feel of the new product that we have in store for you! We are certain that you will not be disappointed.

We would also like to thank you for staying with us and contributing to our student's practical experience. Thanks to you, they are in the perfect environment to practice what they learn in their classes and shape up for a successful future.

We hope that you will give our hotel school a second try on your next trip to Montreal dear guests!

Stayed here for five nights. The room was not so large but it had a balcony, which was a big plus. Great views over the city. Staff in reception was helpful and the breakfast was good, but not as much to choose from as in many other hotels in this price range. Centrally located and lots of restaurants nearby.

Dear Swede1970,

Thank you so much for your kind comment.

We were honoured to have received you for five nights in our hotel centrally located around lots of restaurants. We were happy to read that you enjoyed our balcony; we are one of the few hotels in Montreal that has them. We will pass along your kind comments to our students whom work hard to be helpful for all our guests in every way possible.

We are sorry to read that your breakfast was not fully as diverse as other hotels in this price range. We strive to offer a breakfast buffet that offers variety for our guests and we would be happy to ear your suggestions on your next visit. Your opinion is important to us.

Thank you for taking the time to review us and shape us better for tomorrow.

This is a great option if you're looking for a hotel in a more residential location and away from the downtown area. The hotel is in the Plateau within walking distance to a variety of restaurants at different price points. There is a lovely park directly across the street that can be seen from the dining room.

I did not have a car when I recently visited my son and found the metro stop underneath the hotel handy when going downtown, to the airport bus stop and further into the Plateau. The station is literally underneath the hotel. The hotel is a teaching hotel. However, I did not see groups of students or classes during my stay which was over the weekend. My room was very clean and comfortable with a modern decor. The bed was comfortably firm—no sagging mattress. The bathroom was spotless. The breakfast that was included with my room rate was delicious especially the weekend brunch that offered a variety of well prepared hot and cold dishes. The only area for improvement is in the lobby and lounge areas on the ground floor. It felt a little sterile and could use a little more staffing especially the hotel bar. It had limited hours and and would have been much nicer had it been open during the afternoons like most hotel bars especially during the weekends. Not a big deal though since there are many bars nearby on Rue Saint Denis. Aside from that minor caveat, I highly recommend the hotel. The staff were very professional and work very hard to make the guests welcome.

Really nice hotel in a great location. The room was comfortable, with all the amenities you would expect. Each room has a balcony. WiFi was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. It is a training hotel for students - the service is excellent, even if the trainees do need to ask for assistance (e.g. at check-in). The hotel has a car park, with a daily charge to use it. It was actually closed for a few months when I visited - you got a parking permit for a car park nearby. The cost for parking in this outside public car park was the same as the hotel's underground car park, which I found a bit surprising. Location is great as it is right next to a metro station and lots of eateries and bars within walking distance.

Hello Jeremy,

Thank you for taking the time to write this kind review. It’s always a pleasure to read our guests comments.

We are very happy to hear that the room was comfortable with all the amenities that you expected.

Most of our rooms have a balcony with a great view on our beautiful city, it is great that you had the chance to experience it. Our team in the restaurant works very hard to make every meal perfect, they will be delighted to hear your comment. Indeed we have students training around the hotel and they will always be ready to welcome you.

As you noticed, we are making renovations in the underground parking in order to serve you better, we are truly sorry about the inconvenience.

We are really grateful that you have chosen to stay with us and are looking forward to seeing you again at Hôtel de l’ITHQ.

excellent location =nice neighborhood near metro - but - a big but - the hotel is part of the international tourism office and school of Quebec - the hotel functions are run by students - we assume under supervision - it is ok but it is not a full service hotel - and it should have been presented in the hotel's description

· the room was spacious - the bed comfortable - the bathroom adequate - but it is not a full class hotel

Dear guests,

We appreciate your kind comments about our hotel, thank you very much!

The hotel is part of an international hotel and tourism school and give our students a chance to practice what they learn in class in order to train them as full professionals. Thanks to guests like you, we are able to give our students a chance to develop into strong workers and managers in all different departments of a hotel.

Our students are in the first row of all operations and we certainly do try to make this information as clear as possible to all of our guests. Many of them acutally come to stay with us because of this reason. Rest assured that we will make sure this information is even more visible than it currently is.

We are humbled that you chose your hotel for your visit to Montreal dear guests, thank you very much once again.

We hope that you would come back to visit us again in the near future.
