“One of the Best Marriotts I have stayed At”

The Hotel is well laid out. We were able to get an early check-in as our flight arrived early in the morning. The staff were very accomodating. There Breakfast is of a superior quality than you would expect from most early breakfasts. The Hotel is also next door to bike rentals which was great for exploring the city. Only concern was that it might have been nice to have more chairs in the kitchen area alng with cutlery and plates.

The hotel has a modern decor and appears to be quite up-to-date. The breakfast area is large enough and the food choices are many. The staff are efficient and friendly. They have valet parking only, which is helpful in this aprt of the city.

The strongest asset of the hotel is its location: walking distance to the Palais de Congres (conference center), the Metro, Vieux Montreal with its old buildings and museums, shops and restaurants, Notre Dame cathedral, and the linear park along the St. Lawrence.

I stay here often (8-12x per year) for work. It's one of the few chain hotels in the area. If you don't know, Old Montreal is the historic part of the city -- very walkable, lots of restaurants and some sightseeing. So the location can't be beat. It's also close to highway 10, so access in and out of the city is easy (especially heading towards the VT and NH borders).

The hotel is occupying an older space, so the rooms aren't huge (though many are one-bedroom suites, more or less) but they are always well-kept and quiet (aside from the noisy AC units in many of them -- probably the only thing that annoys me about the hotel). The valet parking (under the hotel) is friendly and efficient. The free breakfast is better than most equivalents at other Residence Inns, Fairfields, etc. The front desk staff is always helpful.

The pool and (especially) workout space are small -- it's an older hotel, after all -- but it's better than nothing, and always clean and neat.

It's a good hotel for working; each room has a well-lit desk and wired and wireless internet.
Internet performance is generally good. And did I mention many, many places nearby to eat, get take-out, etc.?

Thanks to the great location, room prices fluctuate tremendously during the year.

Our late night arrival was marked by a warm welcome. We were assigned a nice clean and comfortable suite away from the elevators and ice machine, as requested at booking. The breakfast was very tasty but very full of guests. The elevated dining tables required guests to be very close to each other at breakfast. We experienced no problems at all during our stay and have already recommended it to friends.

The location is not far from a metro station and in a pretty part of town. The free Wifi signal never failed.

Enjoy your stay here.

Room Tip: Request room away from elevator and ice machine.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in April 2012. The rooms were great - they were suites with a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, sink), desk and a couch and TV area, in addition to the obvious beds and bathroom. The beds were comfy. The buffet breakfast was good. They had a lot of options - waffles, bagels, eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, etc. We got the 'cars eat free' package, which included a $25 gas card per night and valet parking ($21 value). I had an appointment at the US consulate and this hotel was an easy 15-20 minute walk. It was also a short walk to a metro station. There was a fabulous restaurant close by called Tai Nature.

We spent a lot of time checking out hotels on line,we made the right choice.Priced right this hotel is located right in the heart of the old city.Reading it was hard to find we had no problem, it is on a very small side street, which is part of its charm.Yes you do look mostly at buildings but that was true of all others as well. This hotel is very quiet but, just a few steps from ALL the old city has to offer.Hotel is modern clean and well done.We had a larger suite on the 5th floor with a balcony.King bed (great) separated from living space by a thick wall bedroom side had TV/closet built in, living side had TV/burrow built in to the wall. When entering the room on the left was a large bathroom with clean tile nice shower, plenty of lighting/good towels.(There was little shelf space)At entrance of room on the right there was a very large desk with light/chair and many outlets opposite this was a small"kitchen" with fridge/micro/sink/coffee maker/very good coffee/ real coffee cups/real water glasses/paper plates/plastic cutlery. The balcony was large /shared with one other room/had potted plants/round table /2 chairs.again you looked into an office building but the space was nice to have morning coffee/ afternoon drinks/look at the sky/stars at night. The metro was a easy/safe 10/12 min.walk. metro is clean safe easy to use and affordable. out side the hotel was a bix bike rental a good deal as well. This hotel had a very good breakfast all the usual stuff yogurt/cold cereal/real oat meal/peaches/pears cottage cheese/good coffee 3 kinds of juice ect... as well as Good breads muffins pastries that were good. waffles with toppings 1 regular maker and 1 that allowed 1 to 4 little round waffles. The plus there was an egg dish/ a meat/ potatoes that changed each of our 4 morning. breakfast was a little crowded but worked well each morning. There are real plates /silverware/coffee cups.Breakfast crew works hard keeping things full well stocked/clean. Sounds good? it was.Parking is underground, safe right at the hotel and friendly. Friendly is not a word that comes to mind to describe the front desk and cleaning staff.Only Guillem was friendly and helpful all others we met were not. We had three times to find this out 1st: when we checked in by Guilem went smooth with much helpful info.We got our 4 days of luggage up to the fifth floor with 2 room keys that did not work I went back down to desk and was met by a different desk clerk who started to lecture me on proper use of key card and did I have a cell phone,I cut her off saying we just checked in 4 min ago. All she did was take the key card swipe them several times and said nothing. Later that same evening we went to desk to ask about a grocery store with out saying a word a different desk clerk took our map put a X where a store was slid map back at us and turned away. On third day we returned to our room around 4 p.m. to shower and freshen up our room had not been cleaned/restocked. I went to front desk a different clerk said" Whoops" I requested towels/coffee she repeated towels /coffee, and turned to make a phone call. When we returned to room after a great night out we did have 2 coffee packs on the kitchen counter one set of towels hung in bathroom the pile of dirty wet towels still on the bathroom floor. Check out with Guillem on last morning was friendly and went smooth. The hotel has a small warm pool/and small hot tub small fitness room all were clean. Other then some staff not being friendly this is a great hotel in a great location in a great city.We will happily return again and again.

Location can't be beat if you want to be able to walk everywhere. Lots of resturants from pubs to fine dining nearby. Rooms were clean and big enough. Breakfast was plentiful and had a nice variety of foods with everything you would find on a menu in a resturant. The staff at the front desk arranged to have 4 vans to pick us up to take us to the train station our last day. They were right on time, no problems with miscommunication. Price & location can't be beat.

Room Tip: Get a room on higher floors not near the parking garage. I read on TP the rooms just above or near...
