Even though we were there the end of October the botanical gardens were beautiful. The fall colours were in full swing. There are greenhouses that go on and on . We also had to the pleasure of going when they the the light show going on at night. We were there approximately 2 1/2 hrs, but could have stayed longer except it was raining that day . A must see for nature lovers

The Gardens are situated in front of the breathtaking Olympic Stadium. The Gardens are big, a quick tour would take several hours. You can spend the day there, bring a picnic, beautiful picnic areas and serenity. There are different sections such as Japanese, Chinese, some exotic trees. Every year they release hundreds of butterflies inside the greenhouses so you visit them and are surrounded by the butterflies. Yes they might land on you. A must see Botanical experience with numerous exhibits. You can reach it by the Metro ( Subway ).

We were there during the day and we loved the slightly wild atmosphere. There are several ponds and in places you feel like you're the only ones in the gardens. I want to go at night next time. There are lights in the park and large, translucent Chinese figures and a dragon in the pond outside the Chinese area they light at night. When we left for the day there was a good sized line waiting to get in for the night lights.
