Our room was large and very comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and very European. The location was very convenient for walking or catching the excursion buses.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful in every way.

Room tip: Very good accessibility and very quiet.

Our first time to Montreal and we arrived after a 12-hour train journey from New York to a friendly welcome at L' Hotel. This is an art hotel and the artworks are everywhere from the spacious, welcoming lobby bar to the walls as you head upstairs giving the place a unique and personal feel to it.
Our room was tastefully furnished with high ceiling and an eclectic selection of antique furniture. Throughout our four-day stay we enjoyed the extensive range of continental breakfast and also took advantage of the charcuterie & cheese platters served at the bar in the evening.
All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable about their city and keen to make us feel at home, particularly the bar staff who are easy to chat to as you savour a local gin & tonic.
Montreal is a very French and historic city and we'd love to return one day & if we did we'd love to stay at L' Hotel right in the old town.

Traveled with my wife July 2015. The hotel is central, lots of great art, close to everything in the old city. Parking is valet only. Hotel is an updated modernized building that retains its old charm with the comforts we have come to expect. Will appeal to younger and older guest alike.

loved the art throughout the hotel. huge impact on the senses. the hotel has a small, intimate bar that is just delightful. and the room is large, by any standards. i don't know when i've seen such high ceilings before except in a museum.
comfy beds, great bedding, and overall excellent choice.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Killer decor for art lovers with a great lobby for reading and relaxing. Spacious room, comfortable beds, and a Keurig coffeemaker gets extra points. Loved the continental-plus breakfast, with its St. Viateur bagels plus meats and great cheeses to go along with the usuals. And with a location just a block away from the underground and its Metro connection, getting around was a breeze. We'll be back!
