We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay at the Gault, especially the room, the service and our concierge André! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Trip Advisor. We are looking forward to welcoming you back soon! Regards,
I stayed for one night and i must say i was truly impressed with the peoperty overall. Everything from the style to the service was top notch! Definately the place to stay in Old Montreal. It is so close to shopping, restaurants and pubs.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding your recent stay, it will be a pleasure for me to share them with the entire team!
We are looking forward to welcoming you very soon !
We stayed in the Gault for 2 nights in April 2011. We booked a loft room, which was decorated in a very clean, modern style. This is definitely a place for people who would appreciate something a bit different - concrete floors (but heated and very warm), and very clean lines and high ceilings - a great, uncluttered environment in which to relax.
The bar and lounge were very comfortable, and the staff very helpful. Unlike other super chic and fashionable hotels, these guys don't seem to be trying overly hard to maintain an 'image', and we still received great service despite our scruffy, jet-lagged appearance.
We often travel to Montreal and the Hotel Gault is by far our favorite place to stay in the city.
In fact, it feels like home away from home, mainly because the staff just gets it right from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. On top of that, the hotel atmosphere and the rooms are great; cozy, clean, quiet, not overstuffed, everything you need is there.
There are many nice hotels out there but it's the little things that make a place literarily "out-standing": A coffee or tea is offered when you arrive (nice after a long or maybe stressful trip), the friendly, helpful staff greets you as soon as you come into the lobby (ever being ignored by front desk staff when you wanted to check in?), nobody rushes you through breakfast, even after 3 hours reading the paper on a Sunday morning, and you generally just feel well taken care of.
(Oh yes, and you can actually open the windows in your room, not just turn a noise air conditioner on or off - Thanks for that.)
I wish more reasonably priced hotels would be like the Gault.
The entrance and the welcome is good. There was a problem setting up my iPad which was dealt with strait away by the helpful staff. The room was clean, modern and airy. Plenty of space and a really comfortable bed.
This is a chic, up-to-date hotel that's just about the right size to be perfect. Service was excellent and the room comfortable and clean. I'm recommending it to friends who visit Montreal!
