The hotel and room were comfortable. Modern and midcentury touches.
Big problem is the restaurant decides when it is going to close. I went to get a bite to eat at 10.15pm. Restaurant was supposed to close at 11pm. It was already closed. I was told if it is quiet they close up. No warning to guests.
Only option was uber eats or walk to find somewhere.

I apologize on behalf of our restaurant, though they are a third party, we have already followed up with their management team in order to prevent this from recurring in the future. We do hope you will grant us another opportunity to change your overall impression of our establishment as it does appear you enjoyed our rooms. We came here on the recommendation of 2 friends. One who used the hotel as her spot when she came to McGill University to visit her child. Another because hotel is reasonably priced and nicely located to metro, and museums, and high end shopping. Many a few blocks walk, right on Sherbrooke. The Mt Royal Park is also a short walk away.
The hotel is a bit tired, and bathrooms a bit dated, but it is a small hotel of about 106 rooms and we enjoyed the location, staff, the buffet breakfast each morning, besides the free flowing coffee and tea each day. There are safes in the room, and lovely bathroom amenities.
There is an Italian. Restaurant inside the hotel open till late and we had the best pasta there.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. We booked far in advance for a weekend away and got a very good rate. The room was very nicely appointed and generous in size. As well, service was friendly. A few minor things made the stay less than perfect. Hotel parking was full, so we had to park a few blocks away. Not that big a deal, but not ideal. The room had a funny smell coming from the bathroom. It went away when we put the stopper in the bathtub drain. We could hear a lot of noise from the neighbouring room - thankfully, when we notified the front desk they took care of it. Finally, the food served at the breakfast was quite good, but they need to learn that on a Sunday morning, they need to re-stock the hot food containers with more food, more often. It’s also a little pricey, but that’s typical in hotels that don’t include a free breakfast.

Thank you BryanW714 for taking the time to review our property. I am grateful that your overall impression was positive and am following up with the head of our maintenance department and our restaurant's management team (they are a third party establishment) to ensure that the issues that occurred during your stay are not repeated. Parking is limited in our neighborhood and though may be reserved in advance. I am sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you and ask that you reached out to us prior to your next stay. I promise a very competitive rate and to take great care of your journey with us.

Thank you again for your time,

Nice rooms and very well located . Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The bar staff in particular are very friendly and the bar area is a very nice space to hangout while waiting for friends. I have stayed here a number of times and have never had a bad experience.

Stayed one night during winter while traveling on business. Paid 120 CAD for standard double room.

Room furnishings and bathroom were completely updated, but the building showed it’s age with some of the hardware (lighting, lack of electrical outlets, elevator, water pressure, etc). Comfortable bed with spacious sitting area.

Lots of restaurant choices in the area and very convenient for those visiting McGill university. If you are planning to go to Old Port and other tourist spots closer to the water it’s a quick subway ride away.
