This is such a wonderful place to stay. I have had the opportunity to stay in almost all the rooms. The place is warm and lovely to stay in. You couldn't ask for nicer people either. I will always stay there. I'm almost back every year or maybe 2 a year. I love staying there. I only book staying there when I'm in Montreal. If I can't stay there, I won't stay in Montreal. Super clean as well. Book with confidence too.

Room Tip: all are fantastic to stay in.

We stayed here for a week in a double room with shared bathroom on the second floor. The room was lovely and cosy and opened out to the second floor lounge which had a couch to relax on and a computer for general use. Wi-fi is quick and available throughout the house. We also had a wash sink and wardrobe to hang up clothes in our room. The B&B was quiet while we were there so we virtually had the shared bathroom to ourselves. Everything was kept spotless and shower gel and shampoo were supplied in the bathroom.

We enjoyed the large breakfasts served in the downstairs kitchen/dining room. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bagels, croissants, English muffins, coffee and juice were served daily. There was also a common TV room next to the dining room. Philippe and Nicolas are great hosts and make sure you're well looked after.

BBV is just around the corner from Station Beaudry and within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and bars. It's also not a bad walk to the downtown area if it's not too cold. The 747 airport express bus stops near the Berri-UQAM station which is only a few minute's walk from the B&B, so the location is perfect for those coming from the airport.

BBV is a really nice place to stay in Montreal, especially during the colder months. We would definitely recommend.

We spent 3 lovely nights at BBV this past weekend and I could not recommend this bed and breakfast more enthusiastically! We booked based on other TripAdvisor reviews and had had high expectations, which were all exceeded by our wonderful stay.
Nicholas and Philippe, the owners, were truly warm and welcoming. Not only were they helpful with information on Montreal and events taking place, but generous, engaging and gracious hosts. The room we stayed in was lovely – crisp, fresh bedding, soothing and modern décor, a bed that guaranteed sweet dreams. The bathroom was shared, but this presented no obstacle at all – it was likewise lovely (amazing shower) and pristine.
Breakfast was included and offered a varied and delicious array of options, from fresh croissants and waffles to bagels, yoghurts, fruit and cereal, as well as coffee and juices.
The location could not be more convenient, located just off rue St Catherine and around the corner from the Beaudry station. There are numerous cafes and bars, as well as clubs, within a few minutes’ walk.
I could not recommend this place more highly and look forward to staying there again in the future!

I recently spent three most delightful days at BBV and was accommodated in the cottage, adjoining the main house. It was a mixture business/pleasure trip. As noted by other reviewers, Philippe and Nicolas are warm, charming hosts. The two-level cottage is perfect for carving out working space, and the kitchen is well supplied with necessary glasses and flatware and good quality pots and pans. The "upstairs" sleeping room and large bathroom are very comfortable and a full washer and dryer are an added touch! Breakfast each morning is in the main house's dining/kitchen area and included an array of fruit, yoghurt, breads, jams, coffee and teas. Philippe also offered eggs made to order. It's a time to meet other guests and enjoy peasant exchanges and tips on restaurants, etc... I am a frequent stayer at B&B's and have visited many in several countries. BBV ranks among the very best.

Room Tip: The cottage is bi-level and very spacious.

My wife and I found the BBV hosted by Philippe and Nicolas through an online search of Bed & Breakfast establishments in Montreal. It was very highly recommended, and we would like to add our own recommendation to the chorus. A warm, thoughtful and very considerate pair of hosts run this establishment. Everything is clean, comfortable and cozy. We moved to the little cottage after our first night because we were working and wanted to use the space. It is a lovely option and I can't recommend it enough. The Continental Breakfast was unstinting in it's supply of breads, jam & fruit, and the coffee flowed freely :) Philippe and Nicolas are excellent communicators in English & French in addition to their native Dutch, which means the possibility of getting yourself understood is excellent. Steps to St. Catherine street, the Metro, the SAQ (liquor store) and a multitude of shops, restaurants, coffee houses and (for those who might be staying in the Gay Villiage for gay culture) entertainment options. I found that sound travelled readily the first night I stayed in a single, but after moving to the cottage for the next 2 nights we couldn't have been more satisfied.

Room Tip: The cottage is an excellent option for people who desire more than a simple room to sleep in, or a b...

If you are looking to stay in the "Village" this b&b is in the heart of it all. Being 1/2 block off St. Catherine cuts the noise down, but not the convenience. Phillipe and Nicolas are wonderful hosts. The rooms are not plush per say, but very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Guests have access to bottled water, a sun deck and Montreal travel materials. Breakfast was good continental. The amenities are fine...clean baths, good wifi, fridge in the room, etc. Definitely recommend to anyone. And Montreal...what a wonderful city...so friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: If slight noise bothers you, you may want to choose a room upstairs because the downstairs rooms, pa...

Phillipe and Nicholas are warm and fantastic. We stayed for 10 days and never thought about another accommodation. We stayed in the room closest to the street and never once was disturbed by any noise. The BBV is located close to the Beaudry Metro station, but if you need an elevator get off at the berri-uqam station and walk 2 min down the friendly and scenic St Catherine st E.The room was perfect, the breakfast was all we could have ever asked for and the common areas well stocked. We made some new friends during the stay and will definitely be staying there again ! Thank You Guys ... Everything was perfect !
