We absolutely loved this gorgeous cafe in Montreal. We had a beautiful breakfast - highly recommend the Shakshuka. Such a lovely atmosphere with all the books and delightful decor. We went there in the middle of a massive snow storm and sat in the window. It was magical. And a special shout out to the lovely waitstaff who went out of their way to make us Aussies a "flat white" just the way we like it. Thank you. A really great Montreal experience.

Stumbled across this place accidentally. Love the thousands of light bulbs hanging from the ceiling together with plans, it creates a very cosy atmosphere. There is plenty of meals to choose from, from poutine to eggs benedict, granola bars and more. I chose French toast and it was absolutely amazing, one of the best and softest french toasts I have ever head. The place can crowd up quite quickly so either come earlier or make sure to maybe book, if possible. Ideal for breakfast or brunch, or later afternoon coffee and treat.

This is a cosy place where the food is delicious (many warm breakfast options, sweet and savory), the ambience is artsy, as the name suggests, and you can choose between enjoying your own conversation or eavesdropping on the many McGill PhD students discussing their dissertations.

This cosy little cafe serves great light meals, brunches, scones and coffee. It's a quiet hang-out during the week. During the warmer months there is outside seating. One street south of St Viateur, this little place has escaped the tourist crowd. On weekends they serve brunch and it can be crowded. Housed in an old building, the decor is rustic with lots of wood, big windows, books, magazines. Just an overall great place in the neighbohood. Brought visiting friends for brunch. They loved it!

I arrived for a Sunday brunch as the place was crowding up. I instantly liked the atmosphere (typical Mile end). I had a hard time deciding what to choose in an interesting and original menu. I ended up picking the cod cakes and did not regret it. My companion was as also satisfied with her choice of eggs Benedict. The espresso was excellent. The place was very busy but the service was friendly. I will definitely return to try the other items on the menu.
