Such a good spot that we ate here twice in a three night stay in Montreal.

Located in the picturesque old town of Montreal, this was real find. Interesting and authentic Polish menu, with a good range of dishes.

The Bigos (a meat and cabbage stew) was especially good. Food freshly prepared and despite the restaurant being packed, promptly delivered.

Prices more than reasonable at 90 Can$ (£70) for three courses for two with a few beers. Reservations a must, but the bar across the street a good waiting spot..........

Highly recommended.

So we stopped here for lunch on our way out of town on a Saturday. We read the great reviews on Trip Advisor, so we decided to try it. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived, so we were shown a table immediately. I'm guessing at dinner, it's much more crowded. Since it was a weekend lunch, we were able to order from the lunch and brunch menus. We ordered an assortment of plates for our family to try -- kielbasa, pierogis, and crepes. Everything was absolutely delicious.
I would come back here in a heartbeat, but preferably without my kids! The TA reviews mentioned that even though they don't have a kids menu, it is kid friendly. I would say it is, with a few things to note. First, they don't mind if you bring your stroller in, but it's a small space, so unless it folds small enough to fit under your table (luckily ours fit), it might be in the way. Also, they do not have high chairs, so if you have a wiggly toddler like we do, it will be a challenge. Finally, do be aware that the food is very freshly cooked, so it does take a while to get your order. Our kids got pretty antsy, which made the experience more stressful, but we should have been better prepared with snacks. Overall, the staff was very attentive and understanding, and the food was excellent.

Nice place, limited menu. Good dessert.

I went there based on trip advisor feedback that it's #10 in the city to be honest found many other better places Montreal that can be rated better than this place but with lower rate sometimes we overrate places on trip advisor.

The restaurant, like most in the old section of Montreal, is very crowded. Reservations are a must.

I had the appetizer of pickled herring --- one of my favorites. It was just like my Finnish grandfather used to make. Delicious --- a long filet of herring served with sourcream and thin slices of pickled onions.

Entree of roasted duck. The duck was very simply and perfectly roasted. No sauces to detract from the duck. The entire duck, both light and dark meat was very tender. Duck is one of my favorites --- getting duck that both the light meat is moist and the dark meat is completely done is difficult and rare. Here it was perfection..
