Me and my boyfriend went without knowing much about it and signed up for a tour. We ended up being the only two visiting at the time and Sarah, the tour guide was very friendly and insightful. They make you try the solitary confinement and it’s kind of creepy, but overall a cool experience!

Very interesting tour and perspective of how difficult life was just 100 years ago. And we complain about not having wi-fi!

My wife and I happened upon this place after seeing an eye-catching brochure at our hotel. We called and were informed of an English-speaking tour within the hour so it worked great in our schedule.

Our guide, Sarah, was fantastic. Dressed in period costume, she really brought the place to life, describing the building, its history, and of course the jail.

Myself and a few others volunteered for the solitary confinement cell. We were "locked" in for a few moments, only after surrendering our phones. It was basically pitch black. A fun thrill.

The chemistry lab was fascinating too as Sarah described the college, its history and its interesting class for women "Domestic Chemistry".

Finally, the library was the final stop on the tour as Sarah pointed out the sculpture of Gen Wolfe (looking more like Napoleon).

A brief visit, but well worth the cost, especially with Sarah providing a terrific tour.

Thank you Sarah for such an amazing tour. My daughter, as a librarian, and myself as a history major we’re so impressed with your knowledge. I highly recommend touring this site.

We lucked out with a private tour for two by Sara who provided us with an engaging, informative and fun visit to the Morrin Centre, including the jail, school and library.
Not only did she make us laugh, she was very knowledgeable, relayed many interesting facts about the history of the Centre and answered all our questions. She even "locked" us in a jail cell so we could experience history first hand! Definitely a tour not to be missed when you visit Old Quebec City!
