Hotel Cap Diamant is very classic boutique hotel perfectly locally within the old walls of Quebec City. The lobby and breakfast room is very cozy and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Each room is a different elegant set up.

This nicely refurbished European style building in a quiet neighborhood near the stately Frontenac Hotel exudes class from the moment you pass through the front door. The Victorian theme is carried through from the plush carpeted stairway and matching wallpaper to the bedroom giving one the feeling of elegance and careful attention to detail. We stayed in the spacious King room which displayed a beautiful period decor with large floor to ceiling windows, a fireplace.and large tiled bathroom. The king size bed was comfortable and the premises was very clean and orderly. There was even a quiet wall mounted ac unit. Matching the elegance of this place was the separate breakfast area with a variety of tasty choices and an adjoining dining room over looking a gorgeous courtyard. The background music was classical and above all, the hosestes were exceptionally thoughtful and most gracious in every detail. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially considering the reasonable cost and recommend it highly

Lovely hotel with beautiful interiors furnished with antiques. We had a double room facing the back with the cutest bathroom, comfortable bed and furnished in the old French style. The staff were great especially Elaine who was just so helpful.
It's only let down was the breakfast which we skipped on 2 of the 3 days as the croissants and other pastries were flabby cold and appeared to be out of a cheap packet. Considering croissants are a French speciality it's a shame the owner could not invest in better breakfast products.
Overall a lovely experience though.

There is so much positive to say about this hotel that I feel compelled to list it:

The reception: the staff are exceptionally welcoming, friendly, accommodating, helpful, and pleasant. They constantly went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and guide us as newcomers to Quebec City. As great as all other aspects of the hotel were, our interactions with the staff were the most especially gratifying part.

The decor: the hotel is beautifully decorated.

The room: our king-size bed with memory foam mattress and three large pillows was SO VERY comfortable. The bathroom, though small, was big enough to use ;) We didn't hear a single sound from outside or from other rooms/guests at any time when we were in our room. The room was plenty large to give a feeling of luxurious spaciousness, and our particular room had a beautiful view from the front windows overlooking some of Old Quebec, thanks to a lack of any building across the street.

Cleanliness: in the public areas/halls, the dining room, and inside our room (including the bed and the bathroom), everywhere was spotlessly clean and gave the feeling of being sanitary.

Amenities: TV with a lot of cable channels, and good WiFi.

Continental Breakfast: delicious assortment of baked goods, accompaniments, juice, and coffee/tea. The staff keep plenty of food available throughout the breakfasting time period. The dining room is pleasant with essentially wall-to-wall windows.

Room tip: Rooms at the front of the building will have a nice view looking toward Old Quebec.

Felt like we were staying at an old friend's home while in Old Quebec. The hotel itself is circa 1800s and rooms are very spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful with advice on things to see and do. Elaine was amazing, how many hotels have you been to where an employee gives you a warm hug goodbye when you leave? Very close to Old Quebec and all the attractions but on a quiet street away from the noise.
