“Perfect old city location”

We spotted this hotel on Trip Adviser and our choice was fantastic. We had a large room with a view to the river. My wife needs a good bed when we travel and she absolutely loved our bed here. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast bar was excellent and the espresso machine was wonderful as others hav expressed. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again on our next trip.

We also found all positive reviews about this hotel to be true. Perfect location, and we saw hotels located all over town. Only 5 rooms per floor in our side of building, We stayed in room 605 - contemporary facing the wall and back of lower town. Quiet and spacious, would recommend, although 805 on top floor would probably be even better! Of course, always wish hotels could have black out curtains, but no place is perfect. Outdoor area was just opened and was a delightful space to relax. All concierges went out of their way to assist. And who doesnt love Molton Brown products? Other great aspects of our trip: Food - Crepes at Bistro Du Cap around the corner (2 meals!), Italian if you need something different at Il Matto 2 blocks away, and for a high end foodie paradise - Panache. Go outside the upper town walls to Grand Allee (Bistro B has a small menu but local feel and very well executed), St Jean and St Joseph areas - good local neighborhood places, a welcome change from the touristy. The 2.5 hour food tour was enjoyable thanks to Marie the tour guide - recommend. The 5 hour Country Tour was good if you are lazy (as we are) and do not want to drive yourself, but if you have the desire we would recommend doing it yourself instead. Also, foodies will appreciate the Marche in the port area - a great spot to pick up local wines and maple products.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 605 - contemporary facing the wall and back of lower town. Quiet and spacious, wo...

Love, love, love this hotel. Very chic, excellent service, outstanding breakfast and very comfortable rooms. Have a cocktail by the huge fireplace on the comfy couches to end your evening. Superb location in the old lower city. They accept pets. What more could you ask for. I have stayed here often for business and pleasure over the years and have never been disappointed. I look forward to my next trip to Quebec City so I have a reason to stay here. Valet parking. You can walk almost everywhere from this hotel. Latte at any time of the day. This is truly one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in, and I travel a lot.

My wife and I had a nice stay here. The location is very convenient to lower and upper old town. We had a nice river-view room. Room was a little small, but not a problem. Great staff. Nice breakfast. Next door to an impressive museum as well as a convenience store with an ATM. I can't see how you'd go wrong here.

The hotel is a relaxing and beautiful experience. The continental breakfast had lots of delicious selections, the staff were attentive and very friendly; we could sit on comfortable sofas or at largish 'communal' table in tasteful surroundings. Espresso coffee was freely available all day in the lounge/breakfast area as well as in the room. The day we left at 7am the staff provided a take-out box for us to select our breakfast and take with us. The beds were very comfortable and luxurious. But the best feature was the professional, friendly service of the staff - I left garments in an hotel in another city and the concierges dealt with that on my behalf (I don't speak French) until they were sure that my property would be returned to me (ie they didn't give up easily!). All staff were bi-lingual (at least!) and delightful - as were most people we encountered in Quebec. The location of the hotel is perfect - in the old port, not far from the funicular (or a strenuous but short walk to the old city), lots of restaurants and great shopping - and close also to the tourist centre of the old city.

Room Tip: Our room was in a good location overlooking the water (407) but we weren't there a lot.

Thank you for your very good comments ! They are always appreciated and be sure that they will be communicate to the entire staff, who is effectively very kind and helpful. Since a few days, we provide extra comfortable space with our new partially covered outside terrace. Quebec City is so nice in summer that we hope you will be back very soon !

Lovely hotel - modern interior in a heritage building. Not too big (40 rooms in one building and 20 rooms in the second). The best of both worlds - the structure of the hotel is true to its significant historical past while the rooms are very current. The service was excellent and the breakfast is very good - grab a tray and take what you want up to your room. Don't forget the bowl of latte with croissants and jam, or the lemon bread and fresh fruit.... Yum!

I think this hotel is one of the best I've stayed in and my wife and I appreciated feeling the warm welcome and being provided for by attentive staff (in English and in French). Valet parking takes away any worries about finding a spot and the rooms are immaculate.

Bravo! Well done for any hotel!

Room Tip: Generally the noise levels were reasonable, but if possible, as in any hotel, ask for a room far awa...

We stayed at the Germain Dominion Hotel in a superior room for just one night in beautiful Quebec city.
For us, the Dominion Hotel is one of the best boutique hotel we stayed in.
So much great details in the room that you feel you could stay in this environment for a long period! Breakfast is also just simple and perfect.
Thank you also for having included in each and every room Nespresso machines! We're big fans!
The staff is well trained and devoted to give you an amazing eperience.
Merci on revient c'est certain!

Room Tip: GO for the superior rooms.
