For an eclectic (non-commercialize) experience, look no further! From the moment you walk in, you are not a customer, you are a guest in their "home" which great pride is taken. This 10-room boutique hotel makes you feel that their "home" is your home except it has the welcomed additions of housekeeping, new movies available for borrowing, an in-room Keurig-like coffee machine, a personal breakfast chef and a personal trip advisor (aka reception). The personalized experience makes this gem the place to stay when in Québec City!

There is nothing negative that sticks out about this hotel. It is small and a little quirky - but that's fine.

The breakfast is one area that does really shine. It is like having you own personal cook and everything is made to order and very good.

I consider it a little overpriced for what it offers and the lack of a onsite restaurant of any kind is a drawback. Parking is not very convenient, it at least free. The location is also OK, not great.

I nice little hotel and I wouldn't mind staying there again. I just wouldn't mind trying someplace else in Quebec next time either.

Hi everyone, I just got back from a weekend at L`Auberge Le Vincent and here is my review. For those of you who have never been to Quebec this hotel is located in the (basse Ville) lower town, from the hotel it`s a one minute walk to the elevator that brings you up to the (haute ville) upper town. The elevator is free and runs 7 days a week from 10:00 to 22:00, otherwise you can climb the 164 steps. This is a wonderful hotel, all the rooms are different yet they all have the same amenities. This hotel has been in running for about five years now and it is so well kept, I stayed in room number two on the second floor directly on top of the reception, my room was flawless. I mean you usually find scuffs or marks on the walls and furniture from people moving thing around but no this room was spotless everything looks brand new. The bathroom was beautifully tiled and the shower area is glassed in, there was a ceiling rain can as well as a shower handle, you can see the shower area through the bedroom I like that, otherwise you can close the shutters, it`s beautifully done with quality products.. The queen size bed was super comfy with good quality linens, there is a small fridge, espresso machine, flat screen TV & DVD, radio, alarm clock, hair dryer and iron. The windows are hard wood triple pane so you will absolutely not hear the traffic outside. The brick walls add style and charm to the room. At the reception there are hundreds of DVD`s that are available if you want to watch a film. Breakfast was included in my package, it was absolutely scrumptious, I loved that breakfast, trust me you won’t be disappointed. A breakfast like that in a restaurant in Quebec would probably go for $20 per person. I also booked through the hotel a spa package at the spa which was a few streets away, it was very nice and inexpensive I recommend it. Parking is hard to find in the area because you are close to the old town, but you can park indoors across the street for $15 a night. So I will give this hotel my highest rating, although it`s a four star, service was definitely five stars and it was absolutely impeccable from start to finish, the room was outstanding in every little detail. Breakfast was fresh and beautifully presented. I usually add a comment for the management but my only comment is for them not to change anything. Having been to Quebec City hundreds of times I think that this location is ideal, you can easily access the upper town and you are a few minutes away from the St-Roch area were you will get the best value for food and drinks. I know that there are a multitude of hotels to choose from in Quebec City, and some can be quite pricy but for the dollar to value ratio this is a true gem, trust me you won`t be disappointed. So my tip to you is to book as early as possible, there aren`t that many rooms! Enjoy Quebec City it`s beautiful and very safe.

Just spent 3 lovely nights at Auberge Le Vincent in Quebec City. While the setting is a bit out of the way to the main attractions of the wonderful Quebec Winter Carnival, transit is good and the personal service is excellent. Highly recommended for a comfortable and happy stay. Breakfast was complete, made to order and delicious.

Room Tip: Steep stairs as the hotel is built into the side of the rock, so check re: accessibility. Room 6 wa...

This hotel is small, but very personal and quaint. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful. The breakfasts each morning are terrific. Any recommondations made to us for things to do or places to eat were bang on. Claude even drove us to the store where he purchased some of the fixtures in the room when we commented on how much we loved them and wanted something like that in our home. That kind of service is way beyond what would be expected.
It is a bit out of the way from Old Quebec... but we never minded the walk or if tired the short taxi ride.
I highly recommend this hotel. We try and come back every year and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: The corner room is lovely. Lots of windows and a beautiful shower.

We stayed at the Auberge Le Vincent for 3 nights in December between Christmas and New Year. From the moment we arrived, our experience of this hotel was all about the personal service, beginning with the warm and friendly welcome, and continuining with all of the staff providing friendly, sweet service and always willing to help - with directions, recommendations (including providing us with great local restuarant recommendations) and anything else we needed. We stayed in room 9, which was modern with quality furnishinings and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The room is soundproofed and thus very quiet. The breakfast each day, included in the tariff, is cooked to order and delicious. The hotel is a 15 minute walk into the old town, a steep accent initially, then an easy walk into town. Overall, this hotel is deserving of all the praise it recieves on this forum. Auberge Le Vincent is a boutique hotel with extraordinary personal customer service.

We stayed 3 nights between Christmas and New Year's. We can't say enough good things about this property. Rooms were comfortable, and we were immediately upgraded to a bigger room without even requesting it. Staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. We loved the espresso machine in the room and the shower was great! Nice location, off the beaten track, but enjoyed exploring the neighborhood. The breakfast crepes were amazing! This was our third trip in two years to Quebec City and this hotel topped all of the places we stayed. We liked the fact that they had covered, secure parking. In fact, being veteran travelers and having stayed in many places, we have to rate this hotel as one of the nicest we have stayed in. Great value for the money.
