Had an early dinner here and ordered the beef filet mignon with garlic flower potatoes purée and Migneron de Charlevoix cheese sauce. Absolutely loved the food! Beef was cooked perfectly (medium-rare) to my liking and the sauce was yum! I wish there were more sauce. Service was great too! Staff were very friendly. Great ambience too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered French Onion Soup, beers and Charcuterie plates... the soup was very nice, our beers went down quickly as it was hotter in the restaurant than outside. We waited over an hour with empty drinks and no charcuterie. Horrible service, so we left and went to Grand Allee for dinner...a much better experience. Our server didn't even realize we didn't receive our meals when we paid. Horrible.

Delightful, quaint bistro a little outside Old Quebec. Situated on a charming street with ice cream shops and bistros. Service was a little slow but wait staff is hustling. Burgers were great and on a fresh, baked roll. Daughter had the salmon and that was the star of the show. She had it on the fresh bread and made a salmon tartare brushetta. Great find when sifting through the hundreds of restaurants in Quebec City!

My husband found this restaurant before our trip (he's a fan of Tolken's books) so we were very excited to try the Hobbit. It was amazing! We were there for brunch The food was all amazing- we had waffles with fruit, an eggs benedict dish, and burger. The mojitos were perfection, so much so we ordered a second round! The server and bartender were both extremely personable and very patient with our three kids. We will definitely return on our next trip!

Food: We ordered one item to test this restaurant and determine whether to have dinner here: the French onion soup. The soup was served only moderately warm and the cheese had gone bad. I had one bite of cheese and realized too late it was bad. The broth tasted fine; only the cheese was sour and spoiled.

Ambiance: European cafe

Hostess: Very efficient.

Service: Overall good service. Our waitress was very nice.

Overall cleanliness: average

Bathroom cleanliness: didn’t check
