Hotel is very tired and smelled, to me, like the kitchen of the Chinese restaurant below. Despite the dated decor and very rough edges, they do their best to keep it clean. Our bed had clean white sheets and the bed was comfy. The AC was much appreciated in the 34+ heat.
Don't be swayed by breakfast - it consisted of two toasters with giant bags of yellow-label white bread and a plastic bucket of margarine, cold pre-cooked eggs and hotdogs ('sausages') served in tin trays. Paper plates and plastic knives. Had to ask for forks, which they washed by hand.
On the plus side, the fellow who checked us in was very cheerful and helpful when we asked about local sights and places to eat. also, lots of free parking.More
