We were a party of 6 adults who enjoyed the service and food. Three chose the 3 course dinner with the French onion soup, ribs and creme brulle. All dishes were good, but not amazing. The ribs were tender, the creme brulle was on the bland side.
The order of duck breast was tender, not over cooked. The two who ordered tenderloin were happy with their order, and the order of mussels met the approval of the diner.
Our waiter was attentive and able to keep our wine topped up even though the restaurant was filled on a Saturday night. Perhaps it was the delightful company which made the evening successful.

We used to eat here years ago when this lovely bistro was in our neighbourhood. I chose to celebrate our work anniversary here with a reservation for four. Our server was very pleasant, but a tad over tasked as the table of 10 beside us was keeping him and the kitchen hopping, 3 of us chose the 3 course dinner with wine pairings. Not once did they arrive in time with the course, nor did he tell us anything about the wine with each course. I had to ask. The French soup was good. The main course of short ribs arrived with zero appeal for presentation. The mashed potatoes lacked flavour, and were luke warm. The beef was tasty but nothing stood out, some pieces were grisly. The "handful " of root vegetables was over cooked, and very sparse. As our server was very busy when asked how things were, we only nodded our heads, as there was no way we would be waiting for these to be warmed up, and it was clearly not his fault.
We chose truffles as they support local food providers, and used to serve lovely, tasteful dishes. Not sure if we caught them on an off or short staffed day, but it was disappointing. The fourth person in our group ordered the fish, and said it was fabulous. So all in all only a 3/5. Better luck next time.

Went while visiting Saskatoon. We went early on a weeknight and pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves.

We had an amazing meal. Everything we ordered was delicious. Beautiful decor and great service. Was a really nice meal. I would recommend it for a couples dinner out.

I went to this restaurant specifically to try the local, Diefenbaker Lake-raised rainbow trout.

The trout was steamed without any seasoning whatsoever. The veggies that garnished the dish were absolutely bland. No seasoning of any sort, no accents, no "special twist" on anything I ate.

I could have done the same exact thing at home without any effort whatsoever.

Best food in Saskatoon, love the small quaint atmosphere. Service is excellent, and the price is good for the quality. I love that they use everything local also. I'm all for local!
