On our weekend in Saskatoon we found we couldn't get a reservation at our first choice and decided on Truffles even though we had eaten there before (it had been several years ago). We were very happy with the experience.

We started with the olives and roasted tomatoes - very tasty - and the charcuterie plate - generous portion with excellent condiments. Our mains were the duck and the lamb. Both were done just right and came with remarkably good garnish. The cheese plate at the end was both very well put together and amazingly generous.

Ambiance and service were great. Food is a bit pricey but portions are large, and they do have a reasonably priced 3-course if budget is a concern.

My first time at Truffles for dinner, a group of us decided to have a special night out on the town. All of us were glad we choose Truffles.
The staff make you feel that it is a special evening, regardless of the reason. We were met at the door and our heavy winter coats quickly taken away.
The menu offers a enough variety and is enticing enough to try different things. Superb duck dish.
There were cocktail specials on, that were delicious. Cosy atmosphere.

We had a reservation, which was needed restaurant was quite busy. Our server was very attentive, explained the menu well, was there when you needed him but knew when to disappear. Ordered the steak special and the recommended lamb dish. This is a small quaint restaurant with quality food. I love kids but I would call this a non kid friendly restaurant, only because the patrons appear to be quiet, romantic.

I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, and recommend it as a special place for you to try. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

We were a party of 6 adults who enjoyed the service and food. Three chose the 3 course dinner with the French onion soup, ribs and creme brulle. All dishes were good, but not amazing. The ribs were tender, the creme brulle was on the bland side.
The order of duck breast was tender, not over cooked. The two who ordered tenderloin were happy with their order, and the order of mussels met the approval of the diner.
Our waiter was attentive and able to keep our wine topped up even though the restaurant was filled on a Saturday night. Perhaps it was the delightful company which made the evening successful.

We used to eat here years ago when this lovely bistro was in our neighbourhood. I chose to celebrate our work anniversary here with a reservation for four. Our server was very pleasant, but a tad over tasked as the table of 10 beside us was keeping him and the kitchen hopping, 3 of us chose the 3 course dinner with wine pairings. Not once did they arrive in time with the course, nor did he tell us anything about the wine with each course. I had to ask. The French soup was good. The main course of short ribs arrived with zero appeal for presentation. The mashed potatoes lacked flavour, and were luke warm. The beef was tasty but nothing stood out, some pieces were grisly. The "handful " of root vegetables was over cooked, and very sparse. As our server was very busy when asked how things were, we only nodded our heads, as there was no way we would be waiting for these to be warmed up, and it was clearly not his fault.
We chose truffles as they support local food providers, and used to serve lovely, tasteful dishes. Not sure if we caught them on an off or short staffed day, but it was disappointing. The fourth person in our group ordered the fish, and said it was fabulous. So all in all only a 3/5. Better luck next time.
