Group of four of us tried this place for lunch. Was at peak lunch time and had to wait for a table. We tried the baron of beef sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and gnarley barley salad. All very good. Would recommend this place.

We tried to go for breakfast but it was so busy we decided not to wait in line. We went back about 4 pm for an early dinner. Waitress was nice, we chose a spot by the window. Ordered a glass of wine each... when they arrived they were a nice big size for once. I had the Smoked Salmon Salad with Blueberries & Goat Cheese and couldn't resist the Truffle Fries - both were delicious. My husband had the Kobe Burger & regular fries - also excellent. We read a lot of negative reviews online but we didn't find the service lacking or the food. As we went to pay our bill we saw they had a Baileys Mousse & a Lemon Strawberry Trifle for dessert but we were too full! Maybe we'll try there just for coffee & dessert another day ;) PS someone mentioned in a review a 25% gratuity was added to their bill automatically but we did not have that.

While I was doing research for lunch/dinner options for our trip to Whitehorse, I came across Burnt Toast Cafe and how their grilled cheese was not to be missed, and who doesn’t love a grilled cheese sandwich?

We had just beaten the lunch rush hour when we got there, but about half way into our meal, the cafe was completely packed. Of course we ordered the guacamole grilled cheese. We also got a BLT and smoked salmon wrap. All of their sandwiches/wraps/panini comes with fries or soup, or you can upgrade to a salad side or truffle fries for an extra $2.

Everything was delicious! The portions were quite big, and they were very generous with the filling. It was definitely worthwhile to get the truffle fries – so tasty! The only slight let down was they only had regular coffee, but no latte or cappuccino options. We got our coffee fix elsewhere, but this cafe is not to be missed!

I ordered the Lamb Taco. Very tasty and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly and the resultant was hip and cozy. Will definitely return.

We had an afternoon snack there. The tomato basil bean soup was spicy and tasty. Only wished that they did sweets too.
