“A great trip back in time”
Reviewed 11 March 2013

The MacBride Museum is in a great location, across the street from the Yukon River near the train station, and is a lovely, unpretentious place. The galleries and exhibits are very nicely done and the museums gets away from the simple glorification of the Klondike Gold Rush. The museum offers a broad view of Yukon history, with well-chosen and carefully presented artifacts. The Yukon story -- including both a gallery on northern wildlife and an inclusive (First Nations and newcomer) portrayal of the past -- is handled extremely well. If you made it all the way to the Yukon the MacBride Museum is one of the best places to get a deep and proper understanding of this remarkable corner of the world.

“Lots of stories”
Reviewed 9 December 2012

Near the river, the museum provides great anecdotal history of the many - and there were many - characters who came up to the Yukon in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The items on display are fascinating and are well displayed. Definitely worth a visit.
