Not a shiny new facility but just feels so comfortable. Good selection of water temperatures in the different pools. We hear it is going to be upgraded and hope it doesn't change too much!

I’d take this off the list of things to do. Even tho it was explained its a natural spring, the chlorine in the water and the paved pool makes it seem weird.
They could do so much to make this a better time.
Some outdoorsy colours as opposed to school bus yellow to paint the surrounding area would help as well as disguising it took like more spring like.
I could see enjoying this as a local but as a tourist, it was a bit of an odd experience.

We visited in late June, and although it was relaxing and nice and warm, the pools could be in better repair. The pools are old and could use repainting. The water is not clear either. Grass was not maintained around the property making it look untidy.

We ate a picnic lunch before going in. Had to remove shoes and use there flip flops. They have lockers and lend locks at no charge.
There are really 2 pools here. The one we entered is cooler. We crossed into the other pool which was really hot. We were able to stay in that one about 5 min.
The cooler pool was more relaxing. Around the pool is a bench so you can sit in the water and enjoy the heat. Around the outside the of the pools are chairs to relax in.
You can leave and return later in the day since they are open until 11 PM. With the long daylight this is quite possible.
Worth the stop.

My wife and I stayed at the hostel at Takhini for a total of 6 nights on our way to Dawson and also on our return. The hostel is modern and well maintained. There are a variety of pots, pans, dishes, glasses and cutlery for any cooking activities that you may wish to undertake. The hostel is VERY clean and the beds are very comfortable with excellent washrooms and showers. The staff and owners are wonderful and very hospitable as well as being helpful with any of your needs.
